Talk radio agitates me.

Well, much has changed since our little one became a crawler. Mainly she has about 5 new bruises on her forehead, she's pulled a tree and a mirror on her several times, and we've been forced to remove our tree and coffee table from our living room. We take it back! We don't want her to crawl! I miss when she wasn't mobile! And then comes walking... ah!!!!!

Anywho, we have some awesome pictures for you all. (It's a long post, I understand if you give up halfway through. However, I'm feeling particularly funny tonight so I would see it thought to the end if I were you.)

Our friends, the Matthews, joined us today to watch the BYU game against Airforce. 34-28 suckers! Anyway, their little one, Skyler, is just a couple weeks younger than Livy and they are in love, we decided. They love to play at church together. Matt tells me they play footsie together and fight over bottles. This picture isn't from today, but it illustrates perfectly, what usually happens. Livy's always way too forward and Skyler usually ends up crying. I'm scared to see what she's going to be like with boys when she gets older...

Nothing makes Livers happier than a toothbrush. She LOVES them, it's hilarious. Maybe she'll be the dentist instead of Matt.
This is Livers' new fake laugh. It is SO funny! She does it all the time. She closes her eyes and smiles real big and tilts her head back while laughing. But she doesn't really laugh she just exhales really loud over and over. Oh man, you have to see it.
And this awesome toy is the reason Matt can't be trusted to go to Costco by himself. It's crazy. It does numbers, letters, colors, textures, etc. It also talks in English and Spanish! But there's a creepy butterfly that always says "Touch my wings, they're such special things!" First of all, it's creepy because it's in a man's voice and that is just creepy to hear from a man... And second of all - if you touch a butterfly's wings - it doesn't fly anymore! What are we teaching these kids!
This was hilarious. The other night, I was showing Livers pictures of herself on Matt's iphone. And everytime a new picture popped up - she would kiss herself! Ha! Oh Livy, you're so vain.
Here's Livers' favorite thing to do with Matt. He jumps up and down with her on his shoulders and she laughs like crazy! We stole this awesome game from the Matthews.
Here's the story of my life lately and coincidentally the reason for Livy's numerous bruises. This girl tries to climb up on everything! Also, aren't you loving her cute little shoe! Thank you, Andrea.
I came home the other night after a meeting and here's how I found Matt putting Livers to bed. He props her up with her bottle while he chows down on some food. It was funny to me. That's all.
Here's this awesome snow suit my mom gave us. It reminds us of two things: 1 - Maggie's star snow suit from The Simpsons and 2 - the little brother from Christmas Story. Classic!
I love everything about this picture. I love the little onesie with I love NY in rhinestones; and her sparkly earrings; and her sparkly clip in the hair; and my Tiffany's necklace around her neck. This kid has expensive taste.
Okay so this gross blue headband is my "cleaning headband." I always wear it when I start scrubbing the house down. Matt put it on her this morning and told me she looks homely. I asked, "How does she look homely?" To which he replied, "She just looks like she's going to go do some homemaking." Ha! I love that Matt and his siblings - throughout their childhood - thought that calling a women homely means that the woman looks like a pioneer...
And here's Livy after her bath tonight. She looks like an old man with a five-head. I love her expression.

She can crawl! She can crawl! She can crawl!

(The title was suppose to be sung like "We Can Fly" in Peter Pan...)

Anywho - Livy's an official crawler! Not just army style anymore! It's so crazy. And she did it today on her 7 month birthday! Woo!

Here's another fun mystery of Livy that I don't think I'll ever really figure out. But the other day I put Livers on the ground for a second and left the room and when I came back I didn't see her anywhere, but I could hear her. I looked under our coffee table and here's what I found! Her expression screams CAUGHT RED HANDED! Haha. I have no idea how she got here.

Here's a cute little moment with Livers and Matt. She's so cuddly lately. We love it!

I can't get enough!

Okay, so I got as much use out of this costume as humanly possible. And here's yet another picture that my neighbor took of Livy at our ward Halloween party. I love everything about it - even though the little punk wouldn't smile!

My baby can clap!

Okay, I know it's such a small thing, but Livy claps now and it's so cute!!! She's always been obsessed with us when we were clapping and now she does it herself! I seriously almost got emotional. She's getting so big so fast! Ah!

Livers hates baby food and so we'll give her whatever we're eating for dinner. The other night it was pancakes which it turns out is one of her favorite foods. She ate an entire pancake in minutes! It was so funny.

Here's the ghetto version of play toys to help Livy learn how to pull herself up to standing... What is it, you ask? Just her car seat turned over - she loves it! Ha!
Both faces on here are priceless.
Last night, Livers was being super cuddly with me. So cute!

Awesome faces on pumpkins and Livy

So our good friends the Matthews and the Davis came over for FHE on Monday for a pumpkin carving fest. I bought the biggest pumpkin I could find and subsequently had a very difficult time cutting through the top to gut it. I finished cleaning out my man-sized pumpkin about the same time that everybody else was done carving theirs. As it turns out I am not creative at all and seeing Todd Matthews carve the Y into his pumpkin representing our beloved Alma Mater I couldn't come up with anything else. After Alexis designed it for me it actually turned out pretty sweet. See for yourself. Alivia has sort of a love affair with the camera these days. You can see her earring here a little bit but it is pretty much impossible to get a shot of the side of her head unless she is asleep. The red light is just too amazing. Color me biased but my kid is freaking cute. We chose the opposite approach of our parents regarding The Simpsons. They chose to ban it - we chose to embrace.

Already!?!?!

This is Alivia's new favorite move - she does it all of the time and she just found out that she's funny! Ahhh! I thought this phase wasn't suppose to happen until the terrible twos!?!?!

Livy just wants to be...

...PART OF YOUR WORLD!!!
So we got this awesome outfit for Livy like a month ago and go figure - it was almost too small for her by Halloween time. Anywho - it's so freakin' cute! Don't you love it!?! The shells are my favorite part! We were at my aunt, Shannon's, house for a family halloween party and she has this pond in the backyard - I couldn't pass up this photo opportunity! Of course, Livy was being zero cooperative with the whole smiling business.
This is as close as we could get to a smile.
Here's the whole fam-damily. Also, notice the guy in the toga. That's my great uncle Chris. Every time he even looked at Alivia, she would start bawling - this happened all night! It was so funny! I felt bad. Matt told him that it wasn't him, and that Livy just hates Greeks...
We also had a ward halloween party that we went to. Matt and I dressed up as PC and Mac from the commercial - hardly anyone got it, but we sure thought we were funny. People just don't watch enough T.V. ...
Here are some other non-halloween cute pics. We've been struggling putting Livers to bed lately. Last night, I had given up and so Matt took her from me and went upstairs. After a little while, I went upstairs and here's what I found. They had both passed out on the bed in Livy's room. So cute.
This is what Livers and I do when we've had enough of being cooped up all day. I take her outside and we sit on the porch and I show her what cars, trees, and leaves are. She's so giggly lately, I love it!

My baby has pierced ears!

So Matt and I have been talking about getting Livy's ears pierced for quite some time. He's really wanted to do it for a while and I've kind of been indifferent. Well, after some serious discussion last week - we decided to actually do it. We took her to Icing in the mall and did the deed.

Here's Matt with Livy while they were marking her ears up. Then I had to hold her while they actually did it. I almost started bawling with Livy! It was so sad. She was just upset that we were constraining her, mainly.
Here she is continuing to be uncooperative while we try to get these cute little ears on camera. What a freakin' cutie.
Here are some other recent pics that are purely for your enjoyment...

Big 80s sunglasses on babies are always a big hit.
We finally got this kid a high chair. We picked one with little toys to distract her, but instead it just plays super annoying songs that drive Matt and me nuts! She likes it at least.
Matt loves to play on the floor with Livy - that's where they bond.
And here we are with matching bruises on our right legs. Livy's high chair got the best of her and her stroller got the best of me...

6 Freaking Months Old!!!

I cannot believe it! (Said like Quincy from Little Einsteins) My baby is so big! She is six months old now! I swear the day she turned 6 months she immediately looked bigger and older! It's crazy! So here are the stats:

26 inches long - 61% (We've finally moved up from the 45%! Ha! Maybe there's hope for height after all - maybe not.)
16 lb. 9 oz. - 64%
(She's a chunk and we love it!)
44 cm head circumference - 85% (Huge head! Lots of brains!)

So we went to the doctor and got the shots and it was crazy - she didn't cry! She was mad that we held her down and then when I picked her up, she just looked around like nothing had happened. The nurse was awesome though. She moved at the speed of light with those needles. Livers literally had no idea what had just happened.

However, that night at about 2 a.m., she woke up with a burning fever. Her whole body was burning. The baby Tylenol wasn't helping so Matt gave her a blessing at like 4 in the morning and her fever finally went down. So I guess it's a trade off. Either she screams bloody murder getting the shots and she's fine at night. Or if she does really well - then she gets a horrible fever! Come on!

So here are some pics of the cute little one at 6 months:

Here she is sporting her new Pumas that Grandma and Grandpa B. just got her. They're pretty sweet.
Here's a classic Livy face. This is what she does around strangers for about 20 minutes before she gets use to them. Recently, she's been scared of men, even if she knows them. It's funny. She starts to cry if guys (excluding Matt) pick her up or even look at her. I wish this would continue until after her teenage years!
Here she is leaning forward in her swing unable to relax. No joke - she learned how to pump in it. It's hilarious!
Here's Matt and Livers during their nighttime routine. Matt bathes her and then they come downstairs and read Goodnight Moon. They both love this book. It's a classic according to the Wisemans. I had never heard of it. Anyway, I feed her and then Matt swaddles/ties her up and he puts her to bed.
And here's a random shot of our kitchen, oh and Matt giving up on life. Can you tell there hasn't been much sleep in the life of the Wisemans lately??
In other news, I just got a job at BYU! I've temporarily been hired as the Assistant News Director in the broadcast program from which I recently graduated! It kind of came out of nowhere, but it's giving Matt and me a chance to save a little extra emergency money. It's only part time - four hours a day. Luckily, family and neighbors have really stepped up and have helped us out with Livers! We know some awesome people here and we're really grateful for them!

The first big kaboom!

That's right. It finally happened. Livers rolled off the bed. I've been waiting for this day - knowing that it could happen at any time. I've caught her several times, but today I failed as Supermom. I lucked out big time, though, because there was a huge pillow against the bed where she fell and so it acted like a slide and she kind of rolled down and landed on her stomach. So there wasn't the huge thump I was fearing.

I don't have a picture from today, but here she is on our bed a couple months ago pre-fall. She looks so happy...

I have a happy baby!

And we're almost completely over the sick phase! Now the runny nose is just every now and then. She's moved from sleeping in her car seat at night back to the crib! Woo! And out of our room! At night, even though she was swaddled, she would scoot her way out of the car seat and onto the floor! She's intense.

Anywho, I've been noticing the past couple days how smiley she's been! She has been so happy all of the time! Especially when she wakes up! We're complete opposites. When I wake up, I refuse to smile for at least three hours. But she is just so stinkin cute in the mornings!

Matt and Alivia have a morning routine that they love. Matt showers and gets dressed and that's when Livers usually wakes up. So Matt takes her downstairs and gets his breakfast and then they watch an episode of Little Einsteins together. By then I have accepted the fact that I have to wake up and they come upstairs and sing to me the newest song from the show. Today it was "I'm lost and I am looking for my mom and dad!" Ask Matt to sing it, he does it the best.

Anywho, here's what you've all been waiting for - the recent pics. I know how boring it is to read babble! But thanks for stickin with me.

(There's really no rhyme or reason for the pics - they're just the cuteness of late)

Here's Livy playing nice with Matt and the laptop. I love how interested she looks.

And here she's landed herself in jail by taking advantage of being able to touch the laptop.
I love these eyes.

Okay, so she started on the very left under those little play toys and here's where I found her after I had left for just 2 minutes! She can't walk or crawl, so she looks at a desired destination and finds a way to roll there! I love it.

She seems quite pleased.

Even though she's sleeping, I love how she's clutching onto her binky and the pen for dear life.
Oh sorry Livers, is this a bad time for a picture?

The highly anticipated election of 2008 is over!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to vote, but luckily the students of Mammoth Heights picked the right man for the job. I'm so excited for my little bro. who just became the president of his elementary school!

Apparently, I missed quite the show when he gave his speech today. He played the guitar and got the entire school to chant Kyler over and over! For any of you who have met Ky, that shouldn't sound the least bit surprising.

This is the same kid who, when he was 9, was Matt's best man and at our reception, in front of 200 people, got up and gave a lengthy toast which he ended by saying he'll probably be an uncle soon... Anyway, my mom will be posting the actual video of it soon which you'll be able to see here.
So what is his coolest duty as the new presidente??? He gets to broadcast the announcements to the school for all of Stonegate to hear!
HOORAY FOR UNCLE KY!!!
