Swimming Lessons!

The kids had swimming lessons this year and did AWESOME! Liv was a little pro even though she skipped lessons last summer and Adam became a little fish! The first week was ROUGH - he had to have a double lesson that luckily changed everything. He just screamed for 20 minutes and then the next 20 minutes he totally got it and was floating all on his own! They were so cute together!

The Boy Turns 3!!!!

I can't believe this boy is THREE!!! What's more unbelievable is that we made it through age 2 without any broken bones! He is probably our funniest kid. We liken him to a sour patch kid. He can be so sour (biting his BABY sister when he knows it's so naughty) and then he can be so sweet (when he randomly thanks us for decorating his BYU room)!!!

Something funny about his third birthday... He has called Livy "Lolly" for the past year. It's a funny nickname that he came up with all by himself. It's even funnier that it's the name of Matt's high school girlfriend! :) Anyway, he has never called her Livy. Then, all of a sudden, on his birthday he woke up and just started calling her Livy without ever saying Lolly again. Apparently, once he turned three he was to old for silly nicknames. This kid is random!

Here are the decorations and cake Matt and I worked on the night before. Matt demanded the soldiers be his present this year. Luckily, I had bought him "basketball clothes" as well - since the soldiers were more of a present for Matt. :) To be honest, I think we had the most fun setting up the sweet battle for Adam to wake up to! Also, we decided to make the football out of rice crispy treats since Adam doesn't care much for cake - he just licks the frosting. Matt is the genius who came up with that idea. Unfortunately, I decided to make a football instead of a basketball. Adam took one look at it and said, "I wanted a basketball!" Luckily, he came around to the football pretty quickly.

Here he is on his big morning! Nana was able to come down and spend the special day with us! He loved opening her huge bag of treasures! Everyone was pretty stoked about the party hats.

So for Adam's big day, we told him he could invite one friend to Jump On It, a place he has been asking to go FOREVER. He chose his buddy Cooper which was no surprise since Coop is pretty much his only friend right now. The poor kid is stuck in a neighborhood of ALL GIRLS! Cooper's sister Reagan is Liv's little friend from gymnastics so we brought Reagan along for Livy. Adam probably spent a month telling everyone he was going to Jump On It with Cooper for his big day.

These kids were SO excited! It was the cutest thing. They jumped their little hearts out for a full hour! Matt and I even got in on the fun showing the kids our back handsprings and back flips. They were pretty impressed with us. Cooper's mom later told me that he was telling everyone that he went to Jump On It with Adam and jumped with his dad. :)

Of course their favorite part of Jump On It had nothing to do with trampolines. They were obsessed with this miniature carousel!

Afterwards we took the kids to McDonald's for some more running around, lunch, and ice cream! These kids were in heaven.

Here's Reagan so cute holding Embry's hand on the way home!

After we got back, we did the cake because Nana had to leave. This picture pretty much sums up the day. Someone was a little bitter it wasn't her birthday...

Later that night we made the boy another favorite - SHAKES! We even turned it blue. He thought it was the coolest thing ever!

And here's a picture of his SWEET Giants hat he got from Grandma Sherrie! Matt's a little bitter they don't have the same hat in his size!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOY!!! We love you SO much!!!
