5 freakin years!

We did it! We made it to the awesome five year mark! Nothin but downhill from here, right? :) Matt was so awesome and planned a surprise for me - more than two months before our anniversary. He was SO AMAZING at keeping it a secret, I was really impressed! Unfortunately, he accidentally spilled the beans the night before we left. haha It was so sad and hilarious!

Here was the surprise! He took me down to Manti to do a session at the temple and then we got to stay at a little inn overnight. It was so great!!!! The temple was SO beautiful! We got to hang out and do whatever we wanted all day long.

We were able to go into a little candy shop and not worry about kids getting into every drawer and stealing candy! Seriously, it was awesome. Matt even won a huge bar of fudge fore being honest. Go babe!

Then we got to go to Matt's first drive-in movie EVER! Go Captain America. I think I was more excited! I have the best/illegal memories of drive-in movies. When I was younger, my grandma would take me and my cousins in the back of her truck laying down in sleeping bags and drive down the freeway to the drive in movies. haha Fond memories.

Here's what you get for "treats" when you're not eating candy. Matt loved eating cinnamon bears in front of me...

Fun with statues:Matt as Capt. Moroni

Wait, there?

Best Part: Double Rainbow...

1ST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!

We had our first day of school yesterday and it was AWESOME! Livy and Jake love their school teacher and Livy was so excited to go to school ALL BY HERSELF - no surprise there :) Matt asked me if I was going to cry yesterday and I said - oh crap - should I be crying?? haha I was just excited for her. Liv and Jake will both be going every Tuesday and Thursday now so I'll have some alone time with the craziest little one! I'm really excited. Yesterday, he kept just walking around trying to figure out what he's supposed to do without two crazy examples leading him around. It was sad and funny. I love that little guy.

Liv was feelin the goofy vibe. She kept wanting to do hilarious little poses. Also, there is a picture of her collage that tells about herself for her teacher to keep. I'm already doing my child's homework assignments. But it looked awesome! haha

Best little friends

It's so hard to get this kid to smile. I finally got this one. Also, sharp shoes, bud :)

For the LOVE!!!

These kind of head injuries are almost a daily occurrence with this kid. I feel like at the end of the day I'm exhausted from just trying to keep this kid ALIVE! But he makes it okay when at the end of the day he jumps on the couch just to cuddle with me. Love this boy!!

Getting whatever he wanted because I felt so bad.

Baumgartner Fun

(Should have been posted 7/17...)

BEFORE my tooth was knocked out and NOT during Adam's almost death and kidnapping events - we were having so much fun with my family being in town for the 4th. It's so nice having my parents and littlest bro here. I remember how much I miss them after not living with them for the past 6 years. And Livy, Adam, and Jake LOVE having Nana and Pata in town - and not just because Nana buys them every toy they see while shopping :)

LOVE this pic with Pata

Fun times

Same old Same old

The Death Defying Boy

(Should have been posted 7/17/11...)

This kid is CRAZY! I thought that having a boy might be a teeny tiny bit different than having a girl because Liv was already pretty intense, but Adam is OUTSIDE OF CONTROL! Everyday Adam finds some new way to cheat death - or to attempt death and have us save him :) One day Matt sincerely asked me if it's possible for a toddler to be suicidal...

Anyway there have been a couple crazy happenings in the last couple weeks that I wanted to write down before I forget. Both events happened while my family was in town for the 4th of July.

1st Incident: The [ALMOST] Drowning Disaster

We were all at the pool with my mom checking out Liv's new floating tricks (more to come on her swim lesson soon) when my little nephew Jake jumped in the pool and made a huge splash. All of a sudden I look to the right of Jake and there is Adam just under the water with his little arms floating outward not even moving. Scariest. Sight. EVER. I hurried over to him which seemed like FOREVER, and got him out and handed him to my mom. Then, he didn't even cough or choke up any water! He just held on to my mom super tight and was scared and pale. He had slipped into the pool without any splash at all getting on his stomach first and then scooting backward into the water - then he held his breath the whole time! What!?!? It was insane. Then, of course, I was convinced he was going to dry drown - which apparently didn't really happen to that one boy in 2008 and very rarely happens - but still, the boy slept in our room that night and I made sure he was alive about every 10 minutes. He was totally fine - but it was a healthy dose of fear for Matt and I to be extra EXTRA careful with this water loving fearless child.

Should have stayed in this thing, Boy! It was for your own good!!!

All pale after almost drowning. Poor little buddy.

2nd Incident: The [ALMOST] Kidnapping

The next night we were at the Stadium of Fire fireworks at the field across the MTC with my whole family having fun. It became super dark and the kids started playing with these little glow bracelets my mom got them. I looked over at Adam and he had bitten into his bracelet and glow stuff was getting everywhere. I asked Matt to grab him and take care of it. Then one second later I look up and Adam is nowhere to be found while Matt is covered in glow stuff he was trying to wipe off. My entire family got up and started calling out his name - like a little 16-month-old is going to come running... I almost lost it immediately but just took off down the field where we were joined by hundreds of people. It was so dark - I was panicking and then I got like 20 yards away from where we were sitting and I ran right into some kind stranger holding Adam. I just took him while my eyes filled with tears. I felt so blessed that I was led right to him! But I don't know how I'm going to survive the rest of his life like this! This kid is a jet! He just takes off at the most opportune time. Right when Matt and I are looking down for a SECOND, he goes running! I don't know how I'm going to survive a little boy!

Playing with Pata before getting almost kidnapped...

The family back together again :)

The Little World of Livy Louly

(Should have been posted 7/14...)

This girl really is 3 going on 13. She has a mind of her own and loves to tell you every little thought that comes across it! Sometimes it's hilarious and sometimes it's terrifying, but mostly hilarious... until she's 13 and saying these things. Then we're screwed!

Here are some funny ones from lately:

We were telling Livy she had to go to sleep and in defiance she said:
"I don't want to go to sleep. If anyone says sleep again I'm not going to sleep EVER!"

***

To her swimming instructor, Brinley:

Livy: "I need to barf. I need to barf!"
Brinley: "Do you really need to barf?"
Livy: "No I'm just saying that."

***

Today she was telling me what she wants when she turns 13:

"Mom when I'm 13, I'm going to get money so I can go, by myself, and buy lots of ice cream!" As she was saying this I started smiling and she stopped and was like - "What is so funny!" haha I was laughing so hard. And apparently she told Matt yesterday that she wants a wallet when she turns 14 to put her money in - haha

***

At our friends, Livy was talking to our friend's sister and she said, "My dad kills animals." And then when she was asked what he kills she said "Umm I think like deer and cats." HAHA

***

On the phone with Drewbee "My daddy's at work because we need money." haha Or she'll tell people we need money so Daddy can go buy yogurt.

***

Mom I have gum poops! (Goose bumps)

I want aligator!!! (Gatorade)

I want a face pop! (Pop tart)

What are those tomatoes? (She meant kick boards - if she doesn't know what something is, she calls it a tomato.)

I love this girl!!!

Wisemanorama

A couple weeks ago, Matt's familia came into town for the week and the kids had SO much fun with Grandma Sherrie, Grandpa Rick and Uncle JER! Grandma Sherrie presented us with a Christmas in July - it was AWESOME!

First, she surprised the kids with their very first pillow pets! Livy was so excited.

Then, we got this wagon - BEST PRESENT EVER! Seriously, I think I might be the most excited about this one, but the kids are pretty close to my obsession level now. They love going to church in this thing.

And then, as if that wasn't enough, she got this sweet little hoop that Adam adores! He actually throws the basketball up into it! It's so cute.

Then we got to celebrate Grandma Sherrie's birthday.

We made her dinner and cake on the night of her birthday - the kids helped blow the candles out of course.

And another night we all went out to celebrate her birthday once Rick and Jer got back into town from backpacking with my nephew, Aidan.

Dinner was followed by some park play. Here's the Utah Wiseman gang.

During the week we got to show Grandma our usual activities:

Swimming lessons - Rick and Sherrie thought their swimming lessons were hilarious! Which they are, it's unnatural to see such teeny kiddlies swimming :)

Gymnastics class - Livy and Jake LOVE gymnastics. They are constantly showing me their headstands.

And our dance parties - Sherrie was loving Adam's dance moves which are pretty awesome :)

Adam LOVED having Grandpa Rick read to him. He has never stayed this calm with me and Matt.

And Alivia was OBSESSED with Grandma Sherrie. She wanted her full attention whenever she was around and then wouldn't stop talking about her when she left. It was so cute. We can't wait to hopefully see them again soon!
