Livy dropped the H bomb

This little one has had some interesting things to say lately! She seriously talks a mile a minute! I'm not kidding. And she NEVER STOPS! You'd think she would run out of things to say, but when that happens she then starts describing exactly what you or she is doing at that moment to keep the conversation going.

Yesterday, she woke up from her nap and I guess she had just had a dream that I was yelling at her (awesome - mom of the year award when your kid is dreaming about you being mad at her...) and in her dreamy state of mind told Matt, "I hate Mom. She's a mad guy." Yep, she dropped the H bomb. Luckily it has zero sting - I mean, with the way I was when I was younger - she was bound to say it MUCH sooner than later. She also calls the villains in shows "mad guys." It's so funny.

And lately we've been talking about what Christmas is and at first when we asked she would say: "Jesus will open his presents and share with me!" Now she says: "Jesus' birthday. And he got a star. And he will share his presents!" Yesterday, in the car, she could not stop talking about Jesus. We were on a 45 minute drive to take something to Matt and she talked that whole time about Him. Here are some of the things she said:

"Jesus misses me."
"Jesus is my best friend!"
"Jesus is my brother and Adam is my brother and my best friend!"
"Jesus LOVES me!"
"Jesus love you too, Adam!"
"Jesus loves everyone!"
"I miss Jesus."
"Jesus died, but Jesus He's at the temple. I'm getting married in the temple! Jesus and Heavenly Father will be there!"
"I saw Jesus last week." (??? I think she meant church...)
This was only the stuff I can remember. But it went on for a good 45 minutes!

She also LOVES to call people on her pretend phone. It's usually one of her two grandmas or Cos. She will carry on the funniest conversations! Today she called Grandma Sherrie on her phone and kept saying, "Thanks so much for my snowman. I love it!" It's so hilarious. Then when she's talking to Nana she'll just keeping saying yes and no over and over like she's answering questions.

But seriously, this kid is so freaking smart. Life with her is going to get super interesting in a couple years. I don't know how we're going to keep up!

Anyhoo, lately these two have become the best of friends. I'm really trying to instill friendship status with these two from the get-go. I want them to always stand up for each other and have fun with each other so we're constantly telling Livy that Adam is her brother but also her best friend! Adam loves watching Livy and is always trying to keep up with her and Livy has taken on the parent/boss-head role most of the time to him, but she loves playing with him, too. It's fun to watch!

"This is the best movie EVER!"

That's what Livy said while we watched this, but it's totally true. This is my favorite Disney movie EVER! Liv and Matt went on a daddy/daughter date a couple days ago and saw this and Matt knew I'd love it. Then we realized we could go see it for free so we went yesterday to a matinee with both kids. Adam slept the whole time and Livy gave it her usual 45 minutes and then played musical chairs.

But anyhoo - best movie ever! I'm pretty sure I am the only person on earth who started crying 5 minutes into it. I guess I'm super hormonal, but it's a movie all about my biggest fear - having my kid kidnapped and raised by a mean lady - haha it's true. I'm terrified of this very thing. So I was crying through the whole thing HA! But I really did love it- great music, humor, and actors!

Livy kept saying hilarious things while watching it:

When the mean mom told Rapunzel that she would never get out EVER - Livy screamed EVER! and everyone started laughing.

"This movie is awesome!"

"This is so funny!"

Sick Eyes - For Real

Do you feel like you have pink eye now? The more we look at them, the more Matt and I are convinced that we ourselves have pink eye as well :) We're head cases.

Here's what we've been battling the last couple weeks. Last week it was Liv and we were worried because we're still waiting for Matt's insurance to kick in but then it went away after a couple days and we kept her away from Adam so he wouldn't get it.

But then yesterday we looked down at the boy and his eyes had started! The poor kid is in pain at night and absolutely HATES having his eyes cleaned. I feel so bad! So anyhoo, we've been confined to our home for another week now - hopefully it will clear up as quickly as Livy's did.

Tis the Season!

So I've felt like I've been in a rut lately dealing with depressing weather and separation anxiety from our last home, but I've decided to pull myself out of it because this is the coolest time of the year and my little family deserves better from me.

We started the season off the wrong way by losing to Utah... Not okay. Uncle Drewbee and Aunt/Traitor Megan came over for some football fun. SO CLOSE BYU! But whatev. We think Adam might be a traitor as well - he crawled to the red snowman instead of the blue one. It's okay, I've got 18 years to brainwash him.

So then we decided to wipe our slates clean and start the season off on the right foot by going to the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork. It's just so cool! Livy thought it was awesome. She really got to enjoy it this year. And she'll probably get to enjoy it a couple more times because I freaking love it!
Livy was so excited to see the penguins.

Then we got to go enjoy my aunt, Wendy's, ward Christmas party where this interesting old lady told this really interesting Christmas story. Livy was so excited to go up on the stage with the kids.
Interesting lady, Interesting story...

Adam and Uncle Bob

Then Aunt Amy came to town for what felt like 5 seconds, but we were excited to see and spend time with her!

And then Adam had his first candy cane... HEAVEN. That's all I'm going to say.
He has an uncanny ability to suck things into extinction. It's so funny. He can finish a lollipop in like 5 seconds. No joke.

It was like the oreo - he kept looking at us and chuckling and then going in for more.

He was so gross at the end. He was even able to leave a hand print on my leg!

We also have our fresh tree up and decorated AND we have lights on our little home outside (blue and white, of course). So exciting! The Christmas tree just makes our home feel cozy - I love it! I'll have to post pics later.

All About My Second Baby

So I did this with Livy and it's been on my mind lately and I want to remember these things about the boy before I forget.

1. WAS YOUR PREGNANCY PLANNED?: Yes and it took longer this time than it did with Liv. I started getting baby hungry around the time Livy turned 1. We prayed and of course got our answer and then after 2 or 3 months I ended up impregnated!

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME?: Yep, almost a solid 3 years! Woo!

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS?: We weren't as insane as we were with Livy but we were SUPER excited! And so glad that we had freaking awesome insurance :)

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU?: I was 22 when I got pregnant and BARELY 23 when I had him. I was hoping to be 22 still to be able to say I had a baby at 21 and at 22 but the little sucker refused to come out according to plan.

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT?: I had took the test and never looked back! And of course I found out I was preggo before missing a period or anything. I like to know as soon as humanly possible.

7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST?: I can't remember. Everyone we knew probably. I got ratted out at church thanks to my friend Raquel :) so literally everyone we knew found out almost ASAP.

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX?: Ha! Like that's even a question. OF COURSE. I forced Matt to take me at 15 weeks (we lied and said we were 16) to some lady who did ultrasounds in her house ??? So weird, but she was really nice and it was a fun experience with Livy. And we found out we were having our first little boy!!!

9. DUE DATE?: Feb. 26, 2010 (2 days before my b-day) - But he was going to be a c-section on Feb. 23 at 5:30 in the morning - but then I wanted to try a vbac.

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS?: I was super nautious and lost like 15 lbs at the beginning again - but I didn't barf as much as I did with Liv. I only puked like 3 times with this little one - so much nicer!

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE?: Okay for the first part I freaking LOVED deviled eggs (???) So crazy, and then towards the end all I ever wanted was pizza - all day everyday.

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST?: I was just irritated at how tired I was ALL OF THE TIME. I was so much more tired this time around.

13. WHAT WAS YOUR SECOND CHILD'S SEX?: Boy!!!

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING?: I was way excited to have my little boy! When we would tell strangers in CA - they would be like - perfect - a boy and a girl - you're done! haha Little do they know :)

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN?: I think around 30 this time. 10 lbs. more than last time.

16. DID YOU HAVE BABY SHOWERS?: Yes and it was PERFECT! So much better than my first experience. My friends in Fair Oaks took me to my favorite restaurant - Red Robin and we ate dinner and I was showered with gifts - totally my style - I loved it! My awesome cousins even came which was so cool!

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW?: I knew.

18.DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?: Of course. I only like having kids while almost dying. I went into labor on my own with just a tiny bit of pitocin. Then after a HORRIBLE epidural experience - his heart rate started to drop. So I was given a crazy drug that sped up my heart and stopped contractions. Then a minute later nothing changed and I was rushed to the operating room. When I was opened up (with much more pain this time) they found out my uterus had almost completely ruptured. This kid could have fallen into my stomach if I hadn't gotten in there when I did.

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?: Folsom Mercy Hospital in Folsom, CA - I will miss you!!!!

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?: 5ish hours I think? Not as long as the first time.

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?: Mateo. That was the only time I saw him while in the hospital :) Dumb Air Force!

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH?: Matt was there more towards the end because things were so insane.

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?: C-section - bleh!

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?: I'm definitely pro-epidural - except for when they don't work - I hate pain!!!

25. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH?: 7 lbs. 13 oz.

26. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN?: 3-2-10 (Coolest birthday EVER!) at 2:05 p.m.

27. WHAT DID YOU NAME YOUR CHILD?: Adam Calvin Wiseman. Adam after Matt's brother who passed away 5 years ago and Calvin because it's my dad's and brothers' middle name. I like it.

28. HOW OLD IS YOUR SECOND BORN TODAY?: 9 Freaking months already! He's massive! I love it!

Don't you love these pajamas? They're so cute! And the hat, of course. It's my favorite.

The Custest Cookie Monster

I thought it would be cute for Adam to have his first oreo from the little oreo turkeys I made. The end result was AWESOME. He was all smiles the whole time - it was so cute! He just kept looking up at us and chuckling and then digging back in. I love the progression of pictures.

The End Result:
You would think I gave him an entire package of oreos, but no, it was a single oreo!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Matt's brother's place. Well, Matt spent the morning working (LAME) and then we got to head over and enjoy some family and food. Side note: the kids and I had a very lazy morning until I realized at 11 that I was making two batches of rolls, pumpkin pie cake, mashed potatoes AND candy turkeys. So I start hurrying to get things done and wound up going to the store 3 different times. Seriously, what in the world was I thinking??? It was hilarious, of course. People at Macey's were loving my returns and discombobulated state of mind. (Sweet word choice, right?)

It was this little guy's first Thanksgiving! I'm pretty sure this will be his favorite holiday. He is, after all, most passionate about food!

Sibling Love

Livy and cousin Jake. These two have a very hot/cold relationship.

They love each other.

They hate each other. This chair created constant fighting between the two.

Adam and cousin Jake, however, have a very loving relationship. Sometimes there's a little too much love from Jake's end. :) I enjoy Liv's expression in this one.

Cousin Love

Of course, Livy loves to shoot stuff. Matt has done a good job at brainwashing the child. Only animals, Liv, not people! Side note: At dinner while we were all saying what we're thankful for, Matt said guns - of course.

Boys Club

Adam called Uncle Ben beforehand to see if he would wear his semi-matching shirt.

Dinnertime:

This was Donnie's first time making turkey and I would have to say she was amazingly successful! I'm terrified to cook a turkey.

First Thanksgiving turkey! Also, say goodbye to that binky in 3 months, boy!

Here are the only kind of turkeys I'm willing to make on Thanksgiving.

Adam! Adam! Adam!

Whenever Adam is crying in the car - we start chanting his name and he immediately stops. It's so funny! Anyhoo, we were out on a walk today and Adam was looking so cute on his little scooter that he loves to ride - so I was able to grab some cute pictures!
Love this boy!

Love this girl!

Love these kids and love being a mommy!
