Christmas Adventures

The last month has been full of fun Christmas adventures! We have not passed up one opportunity! So here's a little run down of what we've accomplished so far this season...

Thanksgiving Point Lights!

While Matt's parents were here for Thanksgiving weekend, they treated us to the Thanksgiving Point lights. It was my first time driving through them. It was so cool! The kids were screaming the whole time out of excitement. The coolest part was at the end - they had these beautiful pictures of Christ with the story of his birth that ended with a nativity. It was awesome.

We ended the night with a little JCW's action. The kids love spending time with Grandma Rick and Grandma Sherrie. Adam especially became Grandma Sherrie's #1 fan when she had the peanut butter/chocolate shake. :) This kid is only won over by food!

Gingerbread Houses!

We turned one FHE into a dinner/gingerbread house making extravaganza. It was so fun! Liv was so excited to decorate her house with all of this candy. We didn't tell her that hers kind of turned into a depressing looking frown face...

Livy and Lola - Liv loves having Lola come over. They dressed up all fancy and even did princess dances together. They were so cute!

Temple Square Lights!

Last week, we headed up to SLC to enjoy the Temple Square lights with our friends, the Baileys. That place is so amazing, but SO COLD. I hate being cold more than anything, so of course I go overboard making sure my kids are cold...

Adam's Outfit: 2 pairs of pants (one are leggings that are actually Livy's, socks, boots, 2 shirts (one being a onesie), a sweater with the hood, his coat, another hat, and gloves.

Liv's Outfit: 2 pairs of pants (jeggings and jeans), 2 shirts, hooded sweatshirt, socks and boots, winter coat, scarf, hat, and gloves.

The second Liv saw this statue from outside, she kept yelling Jesus! And wanted to go see it immediately. I was happy because that meant we got to go inside. Liv and Adam thought it was amazing, which it was. It got a little weird when Adam started making the same pose as Christ - but I was happy to see my kids recognize him so quickly and beg to see and be near him.

Matt says this picture is too incriminating, but I had to take it. By the end, both of them were so pooped! We got home and had to change the boy's diaper and he never woke up! Ha!

Ward Christmas Party!

Santa Clause take 2 - Not AS bad as Riverwoods - but he eventually ended up screaming. Livy was just as nervous without the crying.

Our amazing next door neighbor, Jodee - aka the coolest person Livy knows. Liv begs to go to her house EVERYDAY. Jodee took mercy on us and sat by us and helped Liv get dinner and talked to her all night. Livy was so excited. In fact, the only way I could get Liv to get excited about this is party was by telling her Jodee would be there. She's obsessed :)

And we played the ignorant parents role and let Adam run wild the entire night. Aren't ward parties the place where that's allowed?? :) So here was the result when we told him we were going home. SO ANGRY!
