Somehow our holidays keep turning out to be EXTREME - hence all of the extravaganza posts... Anyhoo - our Valentine's celebrations were exciting!
Extravaganza #1 - Making Valentines and Goodies:
We made these for both grandmas. Livy LOVED the sparkliness of the cupcake!

Here are Liv's valentines for her first party with her preschool friends. She loved helping make these!
Here are Livy's and Adams's valentines for our neighborhood party.
On Valentine's Day - I woke up at 6 AM to make 100+ sugar cookies for a
little party we were having later. I love procrastinating. I meant to do
this Sunday - then Monday - then it was Tuesday!!!
Extravaganza #2 - Valentine's Celebrations
We started the night before by going to Baskin Robbins to enjoy the gifts cards the kids got from Grandma Sherrie. They were so excited to get ice cream. Also, we realized that the last time we were at Baskin Robbins was the night before we had Adam with Livy and Nana. Weird. Anyway...
You would think this was a great outing for everyone. However, No-Nap-Livy-Lou had a melt down about 5 seconds after these pics were taken when Sticky-Fingers-Adam tried to steal some of her gum pieces. She was quickly escorted out of the establishment and then continued to throw one of the most intense tantrums that 2012 has ever seen...
The next morning the kids woke up to their surprises:
(Are these 18 month size pajamas? Yes - and they recently became her favorite. I keep trying to convince her to give them to Embry...)
Here's the surprise to Daddy from the kids that he opened before leaving for work super early. Reese's hearts and a huge pack of zipfizz to help him stay awake on the way to work!
Here they are in their Valentines outfits. Livy was inspired to wear every article of clothing she had that has hearts on it. Hearts on her shirt, pants (the little buttons), socks, shoes, jacket, and even backpack! She was so excited for her school party!
Matt was so awesome. He got home early to give me my new snoogle and a caramel apple (best presents ever) and then came to the little neighborhood party knowing he would be the only guy and even helped clean up afterward! B.H.E. Award! I totally forgot to take pics of the fun party with our
neighbors - there were so many kids! Everyone got way too much sugar :)
After the party, here's how the sugar rush went down:
We were all spent and now we are all detoxing off of sugar - it's been a ... fun (?) day.
