I love Mondays!

Mondays are my favorite. They're actually Matt's day off so we all sleep in and hang out in PJs until the afternoon and then do whatever we want the rest of the day. This last Monday was full of fun little moments for our familia and I happened to have my camera around for all of it.

We decided to take Livy outside to ride her bike, despite the freezing weather. I've been stuck in the house a little too much lately - I'm going stir crazy! Anyway, she's finally figuring out how to pedal on her teeny little bike. I love it!

Here we are in the morning in PJs, as I mentioned before. And yes they are both on iphones and yes they are both playing the same game. Hilarious!
Later, I needed to get out of the house again, so we took a trip to Babies R Us to remind me how behind I am on getting everything I need for this little guy. And it worked! I became super nervous! And then it made me wish I was a millionaire so I could buy all of their freaking cute baby boy clothes! We also discovered this little gem in the store:
So hilarious!

After Babies R Us - we decided to have a little Jamba action and ordered off of their secret menu - it's been a while since we've ordered Pink Starburst and White Gummi Bear - DELICIOUS! They even gave us a mini cup for Liv. She looked so cute with her little cup!

We ended the day with an unfortunate fever spike for Livy, but we all ended up cuddling on the couch. It was a nice family day. I love those!

It's the Final Countdown!

(Doodle doo doo, doodle doo doo doo... Who else is picturing GOB and his "illusions" right now?)

ANYWAY, we've reached the 50 day countdown in the pregnancy and as per tradition, we've made our paper chain countdown!

Here we are ripping off the chains. Everyone's super excited to meet little Adam!!! I've hit the nesting phase and I have about 378,000 things on my list of things to do before Feb. 23rd gets here. Matt has received the B.H.E. award A LOT lately. On his day off last week, he went with me to IKEA to buy Livy a dresser, put the dresser together, and then rearranged furniture in both of the kids' room about 50 times until we finally got it the way I wanted.

Here's Adam's room. I'm finally happy with the arrangement. And it's the first time we've been able to have a room that is an actual little nursery. Yay!

And here's what Adam will see every morning when he wakes up on the wall opposite of his crib. Oh yeah!

And here's Livy's little dresser that Matt put together. Now I just need to finish putting everything together and up on the walls.

Here I am at almost 33 weeks. We're down to the appointments every 3 weeks, then 2 weeks and then EACH WEEK!!! AHHH!!! This kid is still pulling the same crazy tricks by moving his entire body to my right side. It's awesome. I'm also experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions A LOT. Let's just say, it's a good thing that I have never and will never experience an actual contraction...

Livy Update:

*She has been saying some hilarious things lately. Our favorites are:

"Are you okay?"
"Oh, is he crying?"
"I'm coming!"
"What are you doing?"
"Excuse me."
"Ice cream!"
"My turn. Your turn"
"Oh Gosh"
"Stop it"

*She's been obsessed with Finding Nemo and Chicken Little.

*She's also obsessed with her Dr. Seuss books.

*She's still terrified of men with beards. In her Hop on Pop book, there's one page with this weird cartoon guy that has a big book and she keep saying 'scawy, scawy' until we turn the page.

*She loves taking our empty plates to the kitchen. It's the funniest thing. She will sit and watch me eat all of my food and then ask if I'm done and then try to take it from me.

*She's big into picking out her own outfits lately. If you make the paper chain picture bigger, you can see Livy's outfit she picked out today. And the outfit always has to have polka dots. It's so funny. Usually she adds a random skirt to the mix as well.

*Here she is on her potty. We haven't had any real success here. She always takes her diaper off immediately after she pees and asks to sit on the potty - so we're waiting for her to finally make the connection there. We also just figured out that she thinks that tooting is the same as pooping... so we're trying to overcome that obstacle as well.

And here we are on New Year's after getting home from the Ruggles'. I'm proud of myself for actually staying up until midnight. There was serious doubt that I'd be able to do it.

Livy and the "Snowman"

Really, these are just pics of Livy and the snow - but she likes to call it 'snowman' instead of just snow.

Christmas Extravaganza

Christmas in Colorado was a lot of fun this year. It might be a while until we go there again since I'm not too interested in hauling around two little babies through numerous airports since we can't freaking get a direct flight out of this place! But Livy had a blast!

*1st Pic: She loved spending time with "Nama." She actually cried for her when she left to go run errands. It was hilarious. She was so disappointed to be left with her parents...
*2nd Pic: Here's our ghetto rocking horse that use to be Ky's when he was little. It's missing a handle, but that did not stop Livy from loving this thing. "Rocky, Rocky."
*3rd Pic: We took this during one of her baths. It's so cute. Grandma actually gave her the majority of her baths, I think this was the one time we bathed her during this trip.
*4th Pic: She loved Uncle Ky. She also loved telling him no. I swear she picked up on the fact that he was the youngest next to her. She kept telling him "No, no Ky. Don't touch!"
*5th Pic: Here she is enjoying Rockband with Uncle Drewbee. She loved to pick up the mic and sing la la la over and over.

*1st Pic: Matt was so excited to take Livy out and make her first snowman with her. Unfortunately, the snow didn't allow any man to be created out of it. Also, what's on her feet, you ask? That would be plastic bags from Target. That's right, we weren't about to go buy snowboots that she would use one time, so we went ghetto style.
*2nd Pic: Loving the snow
*3rd & 4th Pic: Here we are making yummy cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. They were yummy. Thank you to my aunt, Michelle, for giving me the best recipe ever!
*5th Pic: Here we are chillin. This is what we did each night. Vacations are the best.

*1st Pic: Christmas Morning!!! Here we are with our stockings. I love the stocking stuffers. You can always rely on Santa filling our stockings with an orange, a new toothbrush (my favorite!), serious $, yummy treats, and new socks (matt's favorite).
*2nd Pic: Livy loved opening presents this year. She still doesn't understand Christmas completely, but she did enjoy some rip and tear of the wrapping paper.
*3rd Pic: Here's a pic of the crazy presents overload. We all got way too much stuff. I'm surprised we got it all home!
*4th Pic: Livy LOVES her new cleaning supplies. She also loves these pajamas. My mom decided she wanted to start a tradition of getting the grandbabies Christmas pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. Liv looked so cute in these.

Loving Christmas in Colorado

For a present for my parents, I wanted to take their pics with Liv. Here are some super cute ones!

The only present we're buying our child...

Thanks to Grandma B., Livy (and Matt and I) will be having an awesome Christmas in Colorado full of freaking awesome presents. So we're under strict directions to buy this kid nothing because Grandma/Santa has already gotten this kid (and Matt and I) everything she/we could ever ask for.

So anywho, we checked with my mom and there was actually one thing left in the world that she hadn't gotten her - a bike! So Matt and I decided we would get our child at least one present this year! And in true Wiseman fashion - we let her open it the second we got it because we were so excited! I don't know what I'm going to do when my kids are older and I actually have to wait to give them their presents on Christmas day - it's going to be LAME! I'm going to be begging to let Matt let them open them earlier...

Anyway, here she is on it. She's still trying to figure out the whole pedaling thing, but how cute does she look on it!

Ward Christmas Party 2009

Last night was our ward Christmas party. Livy had a lot of fun! (Minus the part where she met Santa...) Anywho, she loved playing with all of the older kids. She kept disappearing and then I'd find her in the next room over in the dark just running wild with the other kids. Shouldn't she be creeped out by the dark? She likes to think she's one of the big kids...

We loved the decorating cookies table.

And of course one with Livy's BFF, Cos.
And I feel like Santa could use this as his poster for what happens to the kids on the naughty list. How hilarious is this pic? I like to think he's saying - "This could be you!" haha

He's killing me from the inside!

So I mentioned in an earlier post that fetuses love the right side of my stomach only. Well, I finally caught him in the act on camera!

Here's a pic of Livy in my tummy. You can't see it as well as you can in the next pic with Adam, but you can see that right side of my tummy is slightly higher than the left.
And here's Adam. BAM!!!! I mean, right??? That looks disgusting!!! Just an FYI - you're looking at my stomach from my point of view and kind of to the side - in case you're a bit confused. The next pic makes a little more sense because you can see my belly button.

Anyway, wish me luck! I don't know what's going to happen if he continues this insanity as he gets even BIGGER!

Liar Liar Pants on Fire!

(This is the little fibber's mugshot)

I wanted to make sure I documented Livy's first INTENTIONAL lie! Yes, at only 20 months - my baby is on her way to becoming a little habitual liar (just like her uncle Ky).

Okay so quick back story, Livy's been getting out of nap time lately because she pooped. So now she has finally caught on that if she poops - we'll get her from her room and change her diaper. Somehow she has managed to poop almost every day this week RIGHT AFTER we put her down for a nap. Yesterday she pooped TWICE! I mean, how is that even possible?

So anyway, last night Matt was putting Livy to bed. First, she wanted Matt to lay on the bed with her. And not just anywhere on the bed - she wanted him to lay on the inside edge against the wall so that she would know if he got up from his spot... what a sneaky kid. Then, Matt laid with her and sang a couple songs and started to get up and head for the door. She then started to become frantic and then looked at Matt and said "I just pooped!"

So Matt checked her diaper and she was totally lying! Then she made a mad dash for the door and headed to the living room and tried to turn on the T.V.! This kid is so nuts! I thought kids weren't suppose to lie until they were a tad bit older?!?! We haven't even entered the terrible twos yet!

It's gone! It's gone! It's gone!

How disgusting is that??? This wasn't even it in its full glory! It use to go down to the side of his lips AND there was a soul patch involved! So nasty, right? Luckily, it's finally gone. And this may sound a bit dramatic, but I feel like in the past 3 days sans 'stache, I've been more happier in our marriage than I have been in the last three weeks during its growth period- coincidence? I think not! Unfortunately, Matt thinks this is going to be his new Christmas tradition. Now he's just looking for the perfect ugly Christmas sweater to complete the entire pedophile look...

Santa's Newest Elf

That would be me! Matt got me a sewing machine as an early Christmas present and I decided I wanted to try to make this weird little marionette thing:Livy has one that was actually mine when I was little and I decided it didn't look too hard to make. So I drew out a pattern and whipped this puppy out in like a couple hours, overall.

Okay so funny story. I was pretty amazed with my first sewing project, but not as much as Matt was. He pretty much thinks I'm incompetent when it comes to crafty and homemaking things. I'll admit - threading the sewing machine is not the easiest thing for me... Luckily my machine came with a how-to DVD - but once the thing is threaded - I know how to sew! Anyway, as I started putting together the pieces of this puppet - Matt looked at me in amazement and said I was some sort of wizard! He kept saying it over and over. It was just funny.

Pregnancy Update:

So I've officially entered the 3rd trimester. It really isn't that bad. I'm still sleeping pretty well. I'm just waking up a couple times a night - always at 5:30 for some weird reason. Lately, at night - I lift up my shirt and let the glorious belly be free. Anywho, I looked down one night and saw Livy rubbing the belly. It was hilarious.

I'm so excited to meet this little kid. He is so intense in there. He loves to shove his whole little body on the right side and it knocks the wind out of me every time. It's so weird. Livy use to do the exact same thing. There's just something about the right side of my stomach that is so comforting to the little fetuses. This kid is also measuring 3 cm bigger than usual. Maybe it would be a better idea to just have a c-section and have him come a week or two earlier than the due date so we can prevent him from reaching 10 lbs in there! We'll see.

Also, I know we've moved recently so if you need our address - leave your email and I'll send it to you! Maybe I'll be able to convince Matt to let me try Christmas cards again this year. It's not looking too promising, apparently he's still caught up on my past mistakes with sending cards out... but if I get permission - I'll be asking for your addresses! Happy Holidays!
