Lazy HOT Sunday

Yesterday, Matt had to work and I was a single mom at church with two crazies. It was intense. So the rest of the day we just relaxed once Matt got home. We decided to go on a walk and the kids got so excited.

Yes, this was his getup. He loves these boots. And I didn't feel like going and finding his pants. I love his legs.This was a big reason we got out of the house. Livy has been a little nut the past couple of days! She also insisted on wearing this outfit in the dead heat. I tried to warn her.

Matt was mad that I made him leave during the 9th inning of the Rockies-Giants game. I was surprised he actually did it! They won - so everyone's happy in the Wiseman household.

As long as he is throwing rocks or eating dirt - he's a happy boy.

I've been very blogligent lately, so here's the rest of May in pics...

Liv was invited to her friend's Fancy Nancy themed party. I loved making her fancy and Liv was so excited! It was the cutest little tea party I've ever seen for 3 and 4 year olds :) Livy loved having her make up and nails done.

Adam found Matt's stash of cinnabears and ate almost an entire package upstairs and then came downstairs to show us what he had been up to.

I've had to take the kids to the gym lately and so I've been bribing them with these teeny ice cream cones to get them to go to the daycare. Adam was SO excited - the first time we got them he ate his entire cone before we got home - and we were like a minute away. It was hilarious!!

We had an improptu (ghetto) tea party when Livy went across the way and invited her favorite little friends over. It was hilarious.

The rest of May and beginning of June has been CHILLY, but the kids still love being outside. Adam's a little ladies' man around here. His two favorite loves are Rachel and Lizzy. This is Rachel. They love each other... and cheese.

Here's Liv with Maliya. She thought it was so funny that I said, "Say cheese!" while she was eating cheese.

The last of May was spent in CO at my parents. I still need to get the pics from my mom documenting Livy and Adam's first smores experience :)

Fun with Friends

Our set up is awesome. We have this little walkway in our back yard where all of our houses connect to and so we go outside and play with a bunch of little friends every day. It's fun for Livy, but fun for me to get some adult conversations with the other mommies :)

Today, one of our little neighborhood buddies brought over some colored bubbles. Everyone was so excited! And so BLUE.

This is Maliya, Livy's little friend. Livy invited her over this morning to play at our house. It was so cute! Then they went outside and joined in the fun mess!

This is Rachel, Maliya's little sister AND Adam's girlfriend. Our back doors face each other and we always catch Adam and Rachel under the blinds waving to each other through the windows on the doors. So funny!

I took a beginning photography class last week and I've had fun trying new stuff with my camera. It's hard practicing on non stop moving little kids, but I've been able to get some cute ones of Liv.

Room makeover

Is it weird that I just didn't feel settled until I did something to the kids' room to make it their own? Matt says YES that is weird and wasn't too happy when I started drawing out plans for their room and driving him crazy with questions on what he thinks about everything... But, I finally finished my plans and I'm glad they have their own little room in our house!

Here's Livy's side - Rapunzel themed, of course

Okay, these blasted lanterns took me FOREVER! They were the reason this little project took so long! I really wanted them to glow, right?? Anyway - I discovered fabric glow in the dark paint! Best invention ever! I literally took wire and like bent it into a rectangular shape and then got solid purple fabric and covered it in paint. Then I got some shimmery see through fabric to put on top so they would sparkle during the day. And then I drew the sun image and used fabric glue to attach it and covered those in glow in the dark paint, too. I felt so proud when these were finally done! The paint totally works and they glow at night! Livy was so excited when she saw them all hung up. She kept telling me thank you and how beautiful they were :) That makes the insanity worth it.

These pictures came free from the Disney store when we got the DVD - hence the reason we went with a Rapunzel theme...

This was unintentional but this Rapunzel decal is looking straight at the hanging lanterns - awesome.

I found all of these dolls that my grandma made for me for like my wedding and baptism day. I decided to display them on her little dresser.

Adam's Side:

This side was a freaking breeze. I had his whole part done in like a day. My mom informed me that I created a happy face... I still need to get pictures for all of his frames.

BYU of course. I need to hang up his BYU onesie here that he has grown out of.

Random facts about the Boy

I'm pretty sure Adam is going to know how to ride my longboard better than I can soon.

Also, Adam being fully clothed is a rare occurrence. He usually looks like this and always only has one sock on and dirt going into his mouth...

And sometimes, his eyes look green.

Every morning he has to drink milk before he eats his cereal.

To Grandmother's House Livy Goes!

So the Friday before Mother's Day - my dad was debating going home to CO for the weekend. I was still procrastinating my Mom's present and then my dad and I thought - why not give her the gift she's been asking for literally since Livy was born - time alone with Liv at Grandma's house. My mom has been dreaming of coming and picking Livy up and taking her home for the week. Since this would only be a 2 and half day trip - I was willing to let my baby go without me. But that doesn't mean I didn't start crying immediately after they drove off - and then on and off for the next couple days...

I was getting a little emotional right before they left and Livy said, "Mommy don't be sad that I'm leaving. It's fine." haha

One of the outfits that Nana bought Livy. She also got her those sweet vans that Livy is totally obsessed with. Every time I called to check on her they were buying her a new pair of shoes :)

Side note to this post:

We've had Pata staying with us for a couple days at a time while he's been working here and Livy and Adam LOVE him. Mainly because he ALWAYS has Red Vines to pop in their little mouths right when he gets here. My kids are won over only by food.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Time for the semi-annual post about Alexis. Two times in the past two weeks Alexis has been gone pretty much the entire day, leaving me at home with our kids and my nephew. Nothing like walking a day in her shoes to make me appreciate what she goes through. I love my kids and all, but it takes a certain kind of love to not want to strangle those little monkeys after a long day. The point is that I am very blessed to have such a great wife. Alexis is always the driving force behind anything that gets done in out household; whether it be reading the scriptures, FHE, decorating the house... I could go on but the point is that she is the one that makes these things happen. I could not ask for a better wife and mother to my children.

I love you Babe! Thanks for everything that you do for me and our little family. You have given me two awesome kids so far and I can't wait to meet the rest of them.
