I have man parts inside of me!!!

So I tricked Matt into taking me to get an early ultrasound and we found out it's a boy!!!! We weren't really surprised because this pregnancy has been SO DIFFERENT from my first, but it was fun to have it confirmed! We went to this lady who does ultrasounds out of her home - we thought it would be a super creepy experience (similar to our first one with the crazy European doctor) but it wasn't! She was super nice and we got a lot of pics!

He was so active the whole time and then at the very end, he fell asleep! He was loving his little hands though.

Creepy face.

Already a fan of prayer.

And here's the undeniable truth that he is ALL BOY. It was verified several times.

Wiseman Update

Livy has to have her blankets whenever she's going potty. So sanitary, I know.

Here is Livy's and my favorite pastime. We pick out and eat all of the charms from Lucky Charms. Like mother like daughter. And yes, Matt is disgusted with our behavior, but it doesn't affect us.

She LOVES to put Matt's socks on lately.

She'll put them both on and stand up and it looks like she's some weird little dog.

Rise and Shout!

Un-freaking-believable! BYU 14- Oklahoma 13! Our Cougars did us proud tonight! Also we were cheering so loud a few times that Livy started jumping up and down and pumping her fists in the air screaming at the top of her lungs. It was awesome, she definitely bleeds blue.

Here is Livy doing some sweet moves. She is our mascot.

GGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOO

COUGARS!!!!!

We love us some Cougar football.

Update Time

Get ready for hecka posts! Today's the first day I've had energy to clean our whole house and now I feel like blogging! It's amazing! Maybe the second trimester is really happening! Woo! Also, I keep them in chronological order so start at the bottom and work your way up!

The biggest bump yet...

I ran into the living room after I heard Livy screaming. I found her on the bricks... great. And she was too hysterical to let me see what had happened. So after she kind of calmed down I looked at her face and found this little doosy of a bump on her forehead. I was pretty scared because it's never been this big before! Also, she was prancing around in her unicorn outfit during the fall and it didn't do anything! Come on!

I tried to get different angles so you could see how huge it was off of her head, but none of them really worked out because she was not feeling like cooperating...

It's Potty Time! Yesssssssssss!

September 1st is a day that will live on in the Wiseman household as a day of elation!!!! Livy has been asking to take her diaper off a lot lately, so we decided to get a potty and see what happens. Well, first day we get it, she peed in it! And then she peed in it again today after asking to sit on it! She's in no way potty trained and probably won't be for a WHILE but still - I'm so freaking excited!!!

I made her clap next to the pee so she'd know it was a good thing. At first, she kept telling the pee "no, no"

There it is in all it's glory. Also, those weird things are bits of peanut butter from the snack she had to have while she sat on the potty. Matt was thoroughly confused when I showed him the pee at first. Then, he asked why I kept the pee. To which I replied, so you can clean it up - I'm not touching that!

Sometimes I like to pretend I'm 80-years-old

So my friend, Michelle, and I decided we should can a ton of pears that I got from my church. Without any help, we decided that after watching a 5 minute tutorial on how to can pears, that we were fully ready. I mean really, how hard could it be? The lady in the tutorial made it look incredibly easy. Anyway, we learned quite a bit along the way but here are the pictures to document the event. We felt pretty old...

Here are the jars we found SUPER CHEAP - thank you WinCo! I love WinCo - and I converted Michelle to become a WinCo lover as well.

This is what was left over. Half the box took us FOREVER. It was like pears kept appearing as we kept taking them out. Also, I'm pretty sure we did it too early, but the pears tasted fine afterward so no worries.

Here's the rest of the mess...

Our first can! Go us!

Lazy Days

The Wiseman household has been full of lazy days lately. All I've had the energy to do is lay on the couch while Phineas and Ferb raises my poor child. Luckily, I'm getting my energy back slowly, but surely. Unfortunately, my sensitive gag reflexes are staying STRONG.
I feel like this is a classic picture to have of your kid. Also, here's the proof that she listens to Phineas and Ferb better than she listens to her own mommy.

Livy has been super cute lately, even though we've entered the "no" phase. Seriously, everything is no, even if it's something she really wants. It's awesome. The other day Matt kept asking her to come here. She kept saying no. Then, Matt changed the way he said "come here" by saying it in a sing-song voice. So then Liv changed the way she said no by saying it in the exact same sing-song way. It was so funny!

How awesome is this next picture!?! Haha - Also, Livy has a front tooth coming in! HOORAY!!! This will be her fifth tooth... and she's almost 18 months... for the love.

Our new home! Oo-OOOO!

We're in our new home and it's so freakin' huge I can't get over it! There's so much room everywhere - we love it! Anywho, here's a little tour of the new place...

Living Room
(Side Note: Here's Matt watching his college football. Last night, he got so excited that football is starting that he couldn't go to sleep. He then called me to remind me that he now owns Thursday nights and all day Saturdays... You can all look forward to some posts about what he's broken in our house if the Cougs' season doesn't go very well.)

Kitchen (Seriously, it's humungo)

Laundry Room (Next to the kitchen)
Also, these are our first ever washer/dryer! We got them for $300 on Craigslist - they're huge and work perfectly!

Hallway
1st Room
We're still trying to figure out what we want to do with this room. For now it's my junk room with the computer and piano. We'll see what happens when #2 arrives.
1st Bathroom

Liv's Room
Our Room
This is also ginormous compared to any other room we've had. Seriously, this is the most room we've ever had in between our bed and dresser. And check out my little corner! I have room over there for all of the stuff that usually crowds our bathroom! Woo! Am I too excited? I don't even care.

Life With Livy

Matt is starting a movie of little randomness of Livy. This is just the start but it's so freakin cute. I can't wait to see the whole thing when it's done. He has big plans for his first film. Actually, this is his second, if you recall the one he made for Drewbee when he was first on his mish.

My horn can pierce the sky!

That would be an Office reference FYI. Also, Livy started recording this video by herself, which is why it's so hilarious to us. And this has been her outfit of choice lately. Thank you Costco for providing us with HILARIOUS entertainment for only $10. Also, I wish you could be on this end watching Livy watch herself. Everytime she watches it she laughs SO HARD. She thinks she's HILARIOUS. I love it.

The baby is a...

BLOB! A total blob. But I wasn't expecting to see it today and it was a pleasant surprise to find out I was. Although, it was not quite a pleasant surprise to find out we had to do a VAGINAL ultrasound to see the little sucker... (I hope that made Jefferson puke.)

Also, I got too lazy to use the scanner and I just took a picture of the picture in photobooth - but yeah the head is at the bottom, the white part is the face (I think). And the bum is at the top. Can I just tell you how reassuring it was to see the baby? Matt thinks I'm crazy, but this whole time waiting for this appointment - I kept thinking - what if there's no baby and something CRAZY is happening to me or the baby isn't doing too well in there and I'm about to miscarry... ANYWAY, all of these crazy thoughts are racing through my mind until she pulled the little blob up and there was this teeny tiny thing in there beating! I loved it! Matt and I were pretty speechless even though it's our second time around. I broke the silence by asking him if he wanted to cry. He said no, but I think he was ready to shed a tear.

Anywho, I love love love my new doctor - Dr. Haskins. She's hilarious! And not like trying to make a joke every second, she's just way sarcastic. She's trying to help me have a successful VBAC but she's not afraid to tell me all of the risks and is ready to talk some sense into me if it becomes too dangerous.

Also, crazy fact: Your brain shrinks when you're pregnant! What?!?! Totally true, it was confirmed by the doc today. After her whole presentation of the information overload, she asked if I had any questions that I brought with me today. I sat there for a second and I was like, "Yeah! Does your brain shrink?" And she laughed and said yes! Then she told me to read Expecting Adam - she said preggos are capable of some creepy stuff!

Oh yeah, the kid... so it's measuring right on time. It looks like our due date is Feb. 26, 2010. It's so crazy that I'm about to become a legit mommy!

In other news...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KY!!! My littlest bro. turned 13 today, woo!!!!! So each sticker has a reason.
  • The tiara: an ongoing joke between Kyler and Matt (something about Ky catching gay in the womb...).
  • The kiss: because Livy wishes she could give him a big open mouthed slobbery kiss for his b-day.
  • The danger sign: teenagers are dangerous and crazy.
  • The present: represents the present that we got for him that is "in the mail."
  • The 13: pretty self-explanatory.

I love this picture, but it really doesn't describe their relationship. Livy adores this kid. I made him be the acting parent when he came out here. He was responsible for getting her in and out of her carseat and for taking care of her pretty much the whole week. Livy absolutely loved it! She get's super excited every time she sees him on video chat.

Long post, the end! Hail Doofania!

Happy happy happy happy happy anniversary!

Celebrate good times, come on!

It's official! We have been married for 3 years. Congratulations everyone. A lot of things have changed over the last 3 years, but most of the time we still feel like these little kids just playing house.

It has been a great ride and we are so lucky to have this crazy kid to keep things interesting.

Dear Alexis,

I love you so much! Thanks for everything you do for me and Livy and future baby. I have loved these last 3 years and I look forward to at least 3 more! Woo!

Love,
Matthew Edward Wiseman I

Livy lives to eat, she doesn't eat to live...

The last couple weeks have been CRAZY around here. Everything has seemed to be non-stop. But, good news! We're in our duplex and it's GINORMOUS! Pictures will follow soon, I'm just lacking in the motivation department - this baby is really taking everything out of me. Hopefully that will change soon since I'm freaking in the second trimester!! I'm not bitter...

Anyway, our little bugger is 16 months old! ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS UNTIL NURSERY! Woo! I've been wanting to catch this crazy kid eating on camera. She has started to make crazy faces when she get's excited - it's so cute!

Livy's First Braids! Oo Oooooo! (Amy Pohler Style)

Today I set out to french braid Livy's hair, which I know, was quite a lofty goal - but it was an S-U-C-C-E-S-S!!! I was so freaking excited! It took quite the tricks to get her to stay still - Carmex, weird lotion, a cup of water (?), an otter pop, and Tigger and Pooh playing in front of her. It was definitely a group effort, but she did really well! And I was pulling tight! I figure I'll get her use to the abuse now so that she doesn't cry about it at like 5. They were so cute though! It made her look so old! Ah! My baby is totally getting huge.

So after I did her hair I doused it with hair spray about once ever 10 minutes, for about 2 hours. Unfortunately, right before chuch she pulled one of them, but we were able to recover. And they actually lasted through church! Woo!
