My kid is awesome

Alivia has some pretty sweet tricks lately. This is a little number that she does with her hands that I get a kick out of.

This one doesn't really need an explanation, she just started doing it one day and we laughed so now she does it all the time. She knows she is cool.

Sometimes I wonder what little kids are thinking...Livy's face is pretty expressive so we can usually tell what she is thinking. I call this one, "hmm, this looks neat...I wonder if I can fit it in my mouth."

A little daddy-daughter bonding while reading the Book of Mormon. This face is called, "I wish dad would move his thumb so I could rip this page out."

I was pointing at the words so Livy could follow along so she started helping me. What a cute kid.

Alexis likes to start out with the stories and then get to the pictures. I like to mix it up and put the latest news at the end of the post. I figure that way the hardcore bloggers are rewarded for their perseverance.

The good news is that Alivia is no longer constipated. The bad news is her butt is now raw from all of the trauma this weekend. Good times. The poor kid tenses up anytime we get near her bum. In other news, I put in my two weeks at work and will be heading out to California two weeks from this Tuesday. Alexis and I haven't been sleeping well lately, apparenty we are both subconsciously pretty stressed about the upcoming move. I can't wait to get back to California, I am just not too excited about the process of getting there.

Constipation is no fun, constipation hurts someone...

...mainly Alivia. Our poor little girl is constipated for the first time ever and needless to say, we've both been crying our eyes out. It is so hard to watch her go through this! We've given her numerous baths, a ton of apple juice, prunes, and still no progress! I hate this! We've called and the pediatrician said there's really nothing else we can do. Does anyone have any other suggestions!?!

This has been her face every 20 minutes when she tries to poop again. :(

P.S. Thank you for your suggestions for editing programs. The picnik one is bomb!!!

The day we had to call poison control...

...which is coincidentally the same day my hulk bubble/stamp/light pen died... a sad day. She downed a ton of ink and so Matt called poison control just to make sure everything was okay.

This part of the pen is the awesome hulk stamp which shall never be pressed again. Goodbye, favorite pen ever. Matt worked so hard to win it for me.

Yeah, see all of that ink on her shirt!? I GOT IT OUT! It was one of my proudest mommy moments. I feel like you're a real mom when you can get ridiculous stains out of shirts. Thank you hairspray!

Here she is discovering her new black/blueish body. It almost looked like bruises. I was worried her baby sitters were going to think we beat the poor kid.

Her little fingers were completely black.

Her gums even turned black! Poor Livers.

Fun with Photoshop

I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Lightroom to see if I would want it and here's what I've done so far. (FYI - I don't really know how to use the program so I've just been messing around with it.) Any suggestions for a good photo editing program that's fairly easy to figure out???

No more snow, No more snow, No more snow!

We're doing it! We're taking the Wiseman show on the road and heading to California!!! We'll be out of this blasted weather by the middle of February. I'm a little nervous but really excited. Matt's super happy to be moving back. We're sad to leave the awesome friends we have here, but we're ready for a new adventure. Luckily, we'll be moving close to family. Livy will get to live near her little cousins! Yay!

Here are some pics from lately...

Here's one of Livy's best little friends, Kaylee. I feel like this picture perfectly describes their playtime. Needless to say, Livy's learned how to survive the streets from Kaylee. TRUST NO ONE AND TAKE ALL THE TOYS YOU CAN! Haha Also, one time, Kaylee saw Livers crawling and assumed it was some sort of amusement ride and so she tried to hop on her back. It was hilarious! I wish I would've gotten a picture.

The tongue obsession is nowhere near dying down!

Livy's new favorite area. Of course she doesn't choose the corner with all of her toys...

Another favorite play area which happens to be under our kitchen chairs.

Gripping on for dear life!

My new favorite: Whenever she doesn't like something or she's done eating, she pushes it out with her tongue immediately! AHHHHH!

What a cute little bugger!

And here's the reason people can't hear me on my cell phone. Lately, I've had to communicate to Matt by pushing one button to say yes and two buttons to say no. And then to say I love you I just keep hitting buttons over and over. It's pretty funny.

Here's Livers wanting to be back in the womb, apparently. We put her to bed one night and I went and checked on here and this was the position she was in. So cute.

Okay, so we've had some really bad luck with keys today...

Same as before - if you're in it for all the pics - head downward!

Alright, you guys, I am not good at keeping track of keys. Matt gets so mad at me because I lose them about three times a day - no exaggeration! Well, today, we get back home and Matt's brother is about to drop us off at our place and Matt goes, "Where are the keys?" And I say, "I don't know." And that started the keys panic. The last thing I remember is shoving them into our backpack really fast right as I was picked up to go to the airport last Tuesday.

So we search frantically. I got back in the car and said a quick prayer - feeling silly asking for yet ANOTHER miracle - we kept looking - but still nothing. So then we gave up. We have no way into our house and so we decide to knock on our neighbor's door and wait there until we can get a locksmith over or something.

So Matt knocks on their door and my neighbor, Laura, answers and says, "I thought I heard you guys out there looking for keys." And right before Matt asks if we can come in for a minute - she hands us our keys!!!! We were like WHAT!?! And apparently, when I had shoved them into the backpack - they had fallen out and our awesome neighbors had found them and kept them for us!

So you'd think that's it - but no!

So later today, we went over to my grandma's to pick something up and while I was still inside - Matt was trying to fit this huge box into the car while Livy was fast asleep in her car seat. Well as he was shoving this box in there - he locks the car doors with his butt. And without thinking, he closed the car door, locking the keys in the car! Ah! It's the first time this has happened with Livy! We were so scared - so we called the police and they came (after what felt like hours) and opened the door. And thankfully she slept through the whole experience.

WHAT A FREAKING DAY!

Anywho - here are some more pics with the awesome camera! Woo!

Here she is at the airport. I'm so looking forward to this look when she's a teenager...

Matt trying to put Livers to bed -- "You give in." "No, YOU give in!" -- the nightly battle.

A cute little moment.

Another one foreshadowing the future. "Uh, I can't do it now, Mom, I'm too busy texing." (Or whatever the freak they're doing by then.)

My dad wanted a cute grandpa/granddaughter picture taken before we left... Here ya go!

A Very Merry Christmas Story

So I want to write this story down so I don't forget it - but you can skip to the bottom if your only in this for the pics!

So we have some good friends, the Matthews who've appeared on the blog before, that offered to take us to the airport on Christmas Eve Eve (not a typo). Anyway, first of all, it wasn't just a straight shot to the airport, we had to get on Bangerter and pick up Matt from work and then head to the airport. Anyway, on the way there, Matt and I find out that our flight that was suppose to take off at 8:55 p.m. was now scheduled to depart at 3:00 a.m. BLEH!

Anyway, we get to the airport and the Matthews offer to keep Alivia in the car and wait for us to check our bags and then take us to downtown Salt Lake with them and join them in their fun adventures. So we check everything and then they come pick us up and we all go to dinner and to see the lights. Meanwhile, we find out our flight has now been changed to 5:50 a.m. Our amazing friends offer to drive us home, but we figure it's just a waste of time, so then they dropped us off at the airport.

After getting through security and everything it was about 10:30. We were NOT looking forward to sleeping in the airport with Livy, but we had no choice. So we get to our gate and we see that there is another flight to Denver taking off right then and so I told Matt to go ask and see if there was anyway to get on it.

So Matt goes and talks to the customer service guy and he said that there may be a chance if they finish boarding and find that some people didn't make it. So he put us on standby and told us to go wait by the gate. There were two others trying to get on that flight and they had four openings! We were the very last two to get on the flight!

But the story isn't over yet. So thanks to those Southwest people, we got onto the flight and then since we were the very last two, we figured we wouldn't be sitting by eachother. But then, a guy saw us and moved so that we could sit next to each other! IT WAS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! We were extremely grateful for all the kindness and divine intervention that took place that night. It all worked out perfectly. We were able to spend a nice night with some friends and then we got to the airport and through security at the PERFECT time. We realize we were very blessed!

Anywho here's some awesome pics taken with our new camera - the Digital Rebel SXI - the coolest present EVER. Thanks mom, and thanks dad for pretending like it was okay that Mom got us that...
Livy loves her tounge lately. It's so funny.

I meant to focus on Livers, but it's kind of funny how it turned out. Livy was a bit overwhelmed with the massive amount of presents tossed to her this morning. Apparently, she's still trying to figure out the peek-a-boo doll. She also got an entire library of books! Woo!

And here's what we got Ky - matching Homer pajamas - hilarious!

Here's another adorable pic of Livers in her new outfit that Santa brought her. So cute! Woo! Thanks, Santa!

The Latest and Greatest

Here's what's been going on in the Wiseman household lately...

She crawls to her diaper bag and then goes through the entire thing, taking them out one by one and doesn't stop until everything is out of the bag. What is she holding, you ask? Yep, a tampon. Just for you, Jefferson.

Livy does the "Mission Impossible," as we've coined it. Usually it's better than this and it's a full out gun. It's so funny. We have no idea how she figured this out.

Livers is standing in front of my AMAZING Christmas present that Matt decided to get me. I love it! I didn't realize how much I missed the piano until I had it again. Now I'm on it all of the time!

Our Little Cookie Monster

So I'm sitting watching T.V. with Livy on my lap the other night and I had just taken a bite of an oreo and put it down while chewing. Then, wasting no time at all, Livers moved at the speed of light and snatched the oreo out of my hand. Then the following occurred. She shoved that sucker into her mouth as fast as humanly possible. Luckily I caught it on camera. What a punk. I love how her eyes stay the same throughout the whole consumption of the oreo.

Okay, so I've always thought Livers was the cutest kid EVER, but now I have proof! We had our pictures taken by the amazing Jessie O'Neal last weekend and here's one of the pics she took of Alivia!I have been a huge fan of her ever since she started up - and now you can become a creepy stalker, too! Woo! Here's her website.

The Most Hilarious Sketch EVER

Okay, so I don't watch SNL very often, it's just not as funny as it use to be. But I caught it the other night and I still can't get over this sketch - it's so freaking funny!
