Life as a family of FIVE

It's so weird that there are FIVE of us now! I officially have as many kids as my mom. Weird. Anyway, here's what our family has been up to the past several weeks since Embry has entered our lives...

There has been A LOT of nursing going on - and not just me with Embry...

"Mom, my baby eat."

Embry is somehow still alive despite the constant love (abuse) she gets from her older siblings.

 The kids have been very involved with all things Embry and jealousy really hasn't been a huge issue.

Bedtime has been a bit rough lately... I love how Liv and Adam are the same size and then there's tiny Embry - even though they are each spaced almost the exact same amount apart.

Livy has been very involved in Embry's wardrobe

Lots of time outs for accidentally hitting Embry in the face or with a ball or jumping on her head or pushing her in the swing way too high... HOW DOES THE 3RD SURVIVE??

Whenever Matt gets a free moment - these kids immediately attack!

 There have been lots of fights over who gets to hold Embry first.

There have been LOTS of naps!

 There have been lots of banishings from touching the swing.

I'm Gymnast Girl!

I've totally forgotten to blog Liv's "special" gymnastics class she started at the beginning of this year. She was put into the advanced gym rompers class and it has been so fun watching her learn new things! I felt bad when they told me they wanted her in the class - I was kind of like - are you sure? Because it looks like she just runs around like a crazy person during the whole hour of gymnastics! But they said she had natural talent and would do well in a more focused class. So we tried it out and she really enjoys it! She has learned a lot outside of gymnastics as well like how a line works. haha We even did a FHE on it and went to get ice cream and stood in line to show her that we don't cut in front of people. It was hilarious.

This is Coach McKenna - one of Liv's favorite people in the world. She is so awesome with Liv! She's also in our ward so Liv gets to see her in Primary each Sunday!

Liv just finished at gymnastics... she's awesome. Next week she starts the summer schedule going twice a week for an hour and a half instead of an hour - we'll see how she does since it's during naptime!

All About Lolly

Are you wondering where Lolly came from? It's what Adam calls Liv. And it's just double hilarious that it's also the name of Matt's high school girlfriend... :)

Anyhoo, here are some random fun facts about Livy Lou:

She is a very concerned big sister and loves to take care of Embry. She's very good at holding her and making sure she's happy all the time.

She just had her last day of preschool until next Fall! I can't believe it's been a whole school year already.

She's such a cheese! Whenever she gets presents - like this one from her friend Cos - she has to pose with everything and have me take a picture.

She's very concerned about what the baby wears and always wants it to be pink, of course.

She's very intense about Matt doing everything to her that he does with Adam when he's messing around with him. Lately, she's been accusing Matt of not playing with his daughter like he does with Adam. It's hilarious.

In Primary, she was asked to share a scripture on baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost. I wanted her to be able to go up and give it by herself so we picked out a scripture and I put together a bunch of pictures that represented the words so she could "read" it all by herself. Well a couple days after practicing the scripture, we woke up to her reciting the the scripture to herself in bed without any help. She totally memorized it! It was SO FUNNY when she went up on Sunday to share it with everyone on their little podium. The leaders were looking at me with confused looks and I gave them the signal that she was okay and she stood up and said, "John 3:5, Jesus answered verily verily I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." Everyone's jaws kind of dropped as this 4 year old got down from the podium all nonchalantly and returned to her seat like it was no biggie. My mom, Matt and I were laughing so hard! A member of our bishopric got up after her and was like, "Well that was impressive..." haha Our Livy Lou is quite impressive!

One of her biggest concerns when Embry came home was that her baby wouldn't be bigger than the new baby. So we put them side by side and her fears were calmed - her baby was, in fact, larger than Embry... haha

 She loves her sister. I'm so excited she gets to have a sister!

 Always super stylish in Little Mermaid paraphernalia

 She's learning how to ride a two wheeler so we got her all the necessary protection!

 She's been a little bit... high strung since Embry came so we've been trying hard to take her on dates. Last time I got to take her. We went and saw Mirror Mirror - it was so fun! During the movie she kept saying, "This movie is so awesome!"

 She loves to teach gymnastics to the boy.

Just a bit of sun bathing. This girl gets so dark in the summer and never burns. So jealous!

Some of the fun phrases we are hearing lately...

"How dare you!" (Except she doesn't really know how to use it. She came up to me the other day and said, "Mom, thanks for finding my jewelry! How dare you!")
"Ugh! You are so insane right now!"
"You are making me so sad!" or "You are hurting my feelings!"
"Okay, okay, blah blah blah" (this has been banned)
"I don't care!" (this has been banned, as well)
"Whatever!" (also banned - we have a lot of these...)

All About Adam

Here are some random things about the boy...

His first day of potty training was a pretty big success. He only had 3 accidents and pooped on the potty without me even asking! It only took a week and he is now potty trained! We haven't had one poop accident which is so amazing! He's still not super consistent about waking up dry - but he does wake up dry more than he wakes up wet.
 Day 1 - Forced nudity

 Day 2 - Allowed to wear shirts but still nothing on bottom

Day 3 - Graduation to underwear!

I was so surprised when he got out of bed to poop! That didn't happen with Liv in what felt like FOREVER!

He loves Embry so much that his kisses are quite violent...

He is such a daddy's boy! He has not taken Matt going to school well because he hardly gets to see him now.

He loves his "B-Y" hat and has to wear it daily.

He also has to wear it backwards - he will hardly ever put it on the right way. He also loves guns and is shooting at me and Embry in this picture...

Here he is reading to his baby sister

 He's very concerned about the method in which Embry eats. He calls my boobs owies because he kept elbowing me there when I first got home from the hospital and I kept saying OW!!! Also, I was feeding Embry the other day and I winced from pain when she latched on and he immediately came over and asked me what was wrong and I said nothing and then he said, "No mom. Why?" And then he made the face I had just made - he's very aware and concerned when someone is hurt!

 He still has the cutest rolly poly body. I love his chunk!

He's SO obsessed with sports - especially baseball. He wants to play and watch it all the time. He has a pretty good little arm!

 He always puts random toys/things next to Embry because he thinks she wants to join in the fun. If it's not a wii remote - it'll be his baseball bat or giant basketball. I always walk by her and see something new right next to her. It's hilarious.

He loves this style lately

He's a pretty impressive bike rider! I swear boys are just born with the ability to ride a bike and maneuver it in tricky ways. It's hilarious to watch.

He can whistle - it's quite impressive! And an older sister is a tad bit jealous...

Things he says:

"Fine!" (I wonder who taught him this one...)
"Go away!" (This nasty little statement has replaced biting so I'm actually okay with this right now.)
"No no!"
"Mom/Dad/Lolly, where are you?"
"Ohhhhhhh."
Mommy dum dum = Mommy's bubble gum
Go home! = Stay home
Meme = Money
Feet = Shoes
Moh = Milk
Lolly = Livy
Am = Adam
Nay = Pony/Horse

All About Embry

Here are some random facts about little Emby:

Her tongue loves to stick out.

She is always smiling, and sometimes even laughing, in her sleep. I love it. Tongue out, of course. She started legit smiling when she's awake. I can't wait until I can catch it on camera! Matt claims she smiled at him first but we all know it's a lie.

 She enjoys the binky SOMETIMES. She's definitely not the biggest fan but it will soothe her sometimes.

She's just so teeny! At her 2 week appt. she was only 6 lbs. 12 oz. (9%) but the doctor wasn't going to make me come back for a weight check because he knows it's mostly due to the hospital stay where she wasn't allowed to eat for so long. Also, her other measurements were: length 19.75 inches (28%) and Head Circ. 35 cm (26%).

She was born with so much pretty hair, it has thinned a little but my other babies were pretty bald at this point. Maybe she'll keep her hair AND it'll stay dark. As the third child - you have to do whatever you can to establish favorite status. She's really good at it. :)

She's a total tummy sleeper just like her sister was.

 She loves her vibrating bouncer. She sleeps a lot in this at night.

She gets violent hiccups like 15 times a day - poor thing

 She's another barf baby - all of my kids have been so pukey!

She loves to eat! She only eats for about 10 minutes and is good for another 3 hours.

She's an awesome little sleeper and usually only wakes up at 12 and 4 in the morning. She also loves to be swaddled. It puts her to sleep immediately.

 She's been to church three times now and is so awesome and sleeps through the whole thing. This is her after church nap. She sleeps a good chunk of the afternoon away which has been nice - it lets me run errands and other random things without any problem.

We rarely see this face or hear her cries but she's started getting a little fussier lately. I also found out she is not a fan of breast milk after I eat any kind of spicy food - just like her sister! I'm just a little bitter.

She still has her own little look. It's so crazy!

More cute pics:
She got in trouble for this after...
Love this face!
She's the best cuddler
