Happy Turkey Day!

For Thanksgiving we got to go to Santa Rosa and spend some Q.T. with some of Matt's familia. We got to experience some sweet reunions with some long lost friends of ours as well. (In well... wait is this job in a well???)

1st Pic: Isn't this pic so cute? She was loving Grandma's glasses. 2nd Pic: Look at these two turkeys. Actually, Matt thinks they look more like llamas. 3rd Pic: Matt and Benny were in charge of peeling the potatoes. 4th Pic: Livy loves Aunt Mamy. She keeps pointing her pictures out now and screaming "Mamy!!!"

1st Pic: This was Livy's Thanksgiving feast - a peanut butter/honey sandwich. Matt and I were pretty much geniuses. We gave her lunch and put her down right before the food was ready so we got to sit and eat in peace - it was amazing! 2nd Pic: Here's a pic of the grown up feast. (Ben, Me, Jer, Amy, and Matt) 3rd Pic: Here's the way cute apron that Livy got from Grandma Sherrie. 4th Pic: Here's what Livy does when I tell her to smile... thanks, Liv. 5th Pic: And here's the stool that Livy was obsessed with all weekend. I'm pretty sure she was trying to reach treats in this one. BUSTED!

Here are some pics of our sweet reunions with Matt's friends that he's had since he was teeny. 1st Pic: This is with the Wilsons. Boston is only a couple months older than Livy, it was funny to see them play together for the first time. He's one of a few boys that we have set up an arranged marriage with. 2nd Pic: This one is with the Stephens. Apparently, the two Matts pulled some interesting stunts as youngins.

Now let's move onto the best part of the weekend, shall we? GO COUGS!!!

1st Pic:
Seriously, this kid loves watching football with us. I'm not even kidding. And when we scream - she gets excited and starts yelling, too. Hilarious! We've trained her well. 2nd Pic: Here we are singing the ENTIRE BYU fight song yet again!!! 3rd Pic: She loves her Grandpa Rick. (RICK! RICK! RICK!) She doesn't get to see him a lot but when she does, she always wants to sit with him. She also decided that it was Grandpa's job to hold this tub of leggos throughout the entire game. Every time he put them down, she would come up to him and make him place them on his lap. So silly! 4th Pic: Livy wanted to see who had more teeth, sorry Livy, Amy wins.

Dear Cougs:
Thank you for sporting the classic costumes. That was fun. And even though we weren't completely satisfied with the way you played (since you seemingly gave up after half time), you still pulled out the victory, so I guess it's okay.
(Matt and I have a theory that both teams and refs are payed off to make the game super close and entertaining. It's all about the ratings...)

And Dear Max Hall: Thank you for your comments. They were hilarious and were obviously taken too seriously by many Utes which then gave us the additional pleasure of reading some silly reactions via Facebook. It was the gift that kept on giving.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!!!

That's right. I have succeeded in convincing Matt to start the Christmas celebration BEFORE Thanksgiving day. Yesterday, we went and purchased our beautiful Christmas tree... AND IT'S REAL!!!! It's a Christmas miracle! The picture is a bit blurry but you get the idea. This tree ended up costing Matt about 5 trips to Walmart. The last trip that occurred late last night was completely pointless due to my pregnant brain, but luckily Matt has a sense of humor. We fought over putting an angel or a star on top, this year Matt won. Umm okay so yeah the star led to baby Jesus, but ANGELS sang at His birth, I mean right?!?

Here's our little Christmas baby! She wore this way cute dress to church last Sunday and she even let me curl her hair. However, she did not let me get a cute picture of the whole ensemble, but here are a few attempts: (She would not stop playing with this weird little belt thing! And then things got a little risque...)

Bedtime Fun!

There have been some BIG changes in the Wiseman household as of late. We are proud to announce the arrival of our new... BED!!!
Matt and I purchased our first ever king size bed. We needed a new mattresses because our soft queen one has been killing my back - so we took the plunge and got the bed! Matt couldn't be happier - apparently he hasn't been the biggest fan of me taking over the entire bed and laying all over him and never staying on my side - these are all claims he has made - none of which I think are true...

Anyway, we were trying to figure out what to do for a bed for Livy because I wanted to get her out of her crib before the baby comes because I don't want her to see the crib as some sort of territory that the baby will be taking from her - anywho we decided to just put our old bed in her room so that it can be a guest bed as well.

We're laying it on the floor for now - she's already fallen off of it a couple times because she's such a violent sleeper, so we've had to place her in the far left corner against the walls. The transition part didn't go as badly as I thought. The first week was a little crazy, but we've got it down now.

For nap time, I sit with her for a minute and she says "a song, a song." So I sing her a couple songs and then we say night night. Then I turn on this CD we have of Primary Songs but lullaby style that I use to but her to bed with when she was teeny. The second that music starts playing - she's out! Then when she wakes up (2 1/2 hours later), she gets up and knocks on the door and says "Mommy! Daddy! Hello?!?" It's so cute. Our only fear is that she's going to get into Primary and once they start playing music - she'll immediately fall asleep - but that actually might be a good thing for her teachers...

Then for bed time, we've changed from putting her down at 8 to putting her down at 9. We say prayers, sing a couple songs, and then she tells US night night and she falls right asleep! It's great. She usually sleeps until about 7 which we can't complain about.

This next picture documents one of our model parenting strategies. Livy would not stop making crazy noises/whining/saying mommy over and over and over... you get the point - while we were driving one day so we stopped and got her an ice cream cone. We didn't hear another peep out of her until we got home. We also both refused to look back at the consequences of our decision until we absolutely had to. We then had to play rock paper scissors to decide who got her out of the car. Luckily, it wasn't too bad. The destruction of the cone came afterwards after we had put her in her highchair.

And here's just another cute pic of Liv.

Excitement!

I just wanted to record this memory down for my little guy. Last Friday, I was doing something meaningless, I think making some Chili that had a not so good ending. Anywho, as I was preparing the ingredients, I looked down at my GINORMOUS belly (that's right, and I'm still only at 25 weeks...) - anyway, I could picture for just a second, my new little one that I'll get to hold in about three months and the feeling of excitement totally consumed me for just a second. I remember feeling this every now and then with Liv. I mean, I know there's a baby inside of me right now and I feel him every day, but I don't always acknowledge the fact that there's an actual baby who I will get to hold soon! I love being reminded of this! That's all.

Adam - I want you to know that even now, we are super excited to meet you!!!
(Especially Liv. I promise we'll work on the whole hitting babies thing before you get here!)

Cool Times in Colorado

Last weekend, we went to Colorado to visit my familia and go to Drewbee's homecoming. We had a blast. It was so nice to get away for five days and be with family. My cousins, Whit and Tay, were able to come, too. Livy LOVES Taylor. She hung out with her all weekend. Tay also taught us the sweet Tiny Tim Turtle song that Liv has become obsessed with. Also, my mom took over my role as Livy's mom for the entire weekend. It was awesome. Livy even slept in my parents' room, so Matt and I got to sleep in. I think Matt and I only changed like 2 diapers total that whole weekend - best reason to go to Grandma's!!!

Randoms of Livy playing at Grandma's

1st pic: Livy opened all of these Easter egg packets my mom had left over and became obsessed with them all weekend. I love how she still loves silly cheap things!
3rd pic: Livy likes to think that rugs are blankets, how cute is that little smile on her face!
4th pic: That has been Livy's choice of frown face lately. We see this face CONSTANTLY. It's hilarious.

Livy's First Real Snow Experience...

1st Pic: My parents still had a little snow left in their backyard so we took this opportunity to introduce her to the reason why we live in Sacramento...
2nd Pic: She loved everything about it. Every morning she would get up and go to the back door and say Snow! Snow!
3rd Pic: Here she is taking her first bite, don't worry, we're good parents, we told her to stay away from the yellow stuff...
4th Pic: And here's what she did when I said smile - good smile, Liv.

Sweet Outside Outfit

1st Pic: So here we are on one of the mornings where Liv kept screaming Snow. Matt and I finally gave in and let her go outside. However, we were both too lazy to go upstairs and put a decent outfit on. Luckily, we were sitting next to a pile of clothes that we needed to clean. So, I put on a pajama outfit over the one she was already wearing. Then we put two jackets on her and found a hat for her in the closet. I know, our parenting skills are leaving you in awe right now...
3rd Pic: Pointing the snow out to me once again and trying to get me to come out
4th Pic: Inside now and mad that we wouldn't go out there with her

More Play Time with Liv...

1st Pic: As I said earlier, here is my mom relieving me of my duties.
2nd Pic: Cool trick, Grandma.
3rd Pic: Here's Liv playing with Tay. Taylor hid her eggs around the house and then they would both go look for them. Livy thought it was so cool. Every time she spotted one she would go "Oh! Oh!"
4th Pic: Livy loves Uncle Drewbee.

1st Pic: While at Drew's little homecoming get together, my mom gave Liv a cream puff. While she was holding her Livy would stick her finger in it and lick the cream. It was hilarious. She was also falling asleep while doing this.
2nd Pic: Here she is passed out from the boring conversation my mom is having. She still has the cream puff clutched tightly in her little fist.
3rd Pic: I LOVE this picture. Here we are enjoying Brinner. I guess we don't make french toast enough for Liv. She was loving it.
4th Pic: Some alone time with Drewbee watching the Lion King.

Livy with my cousins, Tay and Whit

1st Pic: Livy's BFF this weekend, Tay.
2nd Pic: Livy was wearing Whitney's shoes around. I think she's crying because she thinks Whit is about to take them away.
3rd Pic: Here's Livy showing Tay how to use the remote. She loves to show people that she can turn on the T.V.
4th Pic: Here is Whit and me making our own awesome renditions of classic Disney songs. Just after this, we found an 'N Sync karaoke CD and went to town. It was awesome.

La La Laaaaaa!

Here's Liv's favorite thing to sing. She's copying her Little Einsteins Annie doll that she got. It's so funny.

1st Pic: Livy giving up on life. I have several pics of Matt doing this exact thing at two different times. Like father like daughter, I guess.
2nd Pic: She has to have her dose of Phineas and Ferb no matter where she is.
