Cool Times in Colorado

Last weekend, we went to Colorado to visit my familia and go to Drewbee's homecoming. We had a blast. It was so nice to get away for five days and be with family. My cousins, Whit and Tay, were able to come, too. Livy LOVES Taylor. She hung out with her all weekend. Tay also taught us the sweet Tiny Tim Turtle song that Liv has become obsessed with. Also, my mom took over my role as Livy's mom for the entire weekend. It was awesome. Livy even slept in my parents' room, so Matt and I got to sleep in. I think Matt and I only changed like 2 diapers total that whole weekend - best reason to go to Grandma's!!!

Randoms of Livy playing at Grandma's

1st pic: Livy opened all of these Easter egg packets my mom had left over and became obsessed with them all weekend. I love how she still loves silly cheap things!
3rd pic: Livy likes to think that rugs are blankets, how cute is that little smile on her face!
4th pic: That has been Livy's choice of frown face lately. We see this face CONSTANTLY. It's hilarious.

Livy's First Real Snow Experience...

1st Pic: My parents still had a little snow left in their backyard so we took this opportunity to introduce her to the reason why we live in Sacramento...
2nd Pic: She loved everything about it. Every morning she would get up and go to the back door and say Snow! Snow!
3rd Pic: Here she is taking her first bite, don't worry, we're good parents, we told her to stay away from the yellow stuff...
4th Pic: And here's what she did when I said smile - good smile, Liv.

Sweet Outside Outfit

1st Pic: So here we are on one of the mornings where Liv kept screaming Snow. Matt and I finally gave in and let her go outside. However, we were both too lazy to go upstairs and put a decent outfit on. Luckily, we were sitting next to a pile of clothes that we needed to clean. So, I put on a pajama outfit over the one she was already wearing. Then we put two jackets on her and found a hat for her in the closet. I know, our parenting skills are leaving you in awe right now...
3rd Pic: Pointing the snow out to me once again and trying to get me to come out
4th Pic: Inside now and mad that we wouldn't go out there with her

More Play Time with Liv...

1st Pic: As I said earlier, here is my mom relieving me of my duties.
2nd Pic: Cool trick, Grandma.
3rd Pic: Here's Liv playing with Tay. Taylor hid her eggs around the house and then they would both go look for them. Livy thought it was so cool. Every time she spotted one she would go "Oh! Oh!"
4th Pic: Livy loves Uncle Drewbee.

1st Pic: While at Drew's little homecoming get together, my mom gave Liv a cream puff. While she was holding her Livy would stick her finger in it and lick the cream. It was hilarious. She was also falling asleep while doing this.
2nd Pic: Here she is passed out from the boring conversation my mom is having. She still has the cream puff clutched tightly in her little fist.
3rd Pic: I LOVE this picture. Here we are enjoying Brinner. I guess we don't make french toast enough for Liv. She was loving it.
4th Pic: Some alone time with Drewbee watching the Lion King.

Livy with my cousins, Tay and Whit

1st Pic: Livy's BFF this weekend, Tay.
2nd Pic: Livy was wearing Whitney's shoes around. I think she's crying because she thinks Whit is about to take them away.
3rd Pic: Here's Livy showing Tay how to use the remote. She loves to show people that she can turn on the T.V.
4th Pic: Here is Whit and me making our own awesome renditions of classic Disney songs. Just after this, we found an 'N Sync karaoke CD and went to town. It was awesome.

La La Laaaaaa!

Here's Liv's favorite thing to sing. She's copying her Little Einsteins Annie doll that she got. It's so funny.

1st Pic: Livy giving up on life. I have several pics of Matt doing this exact thing at two different times. Like father like daughter, I guess.
2nd Pic: She has to have her dose of Phineas and Ferb no matter where she is.

Hilarious Little Sayings in the Wiseman Household

(WARNING: This post is pretty boring and strictly for me. There's a video you can skip down to...)

I want to write down all of the little words and phrases Livy has been using before I forget:

"Is this blue/pink/black?"
(These are her favorite colors and sometimes she gets it right, so cute)

"Is this Daddy's?"
(She only asks this when she sees tools around the house.)

"Is this ___?"
(Whenever we go outside, she asks what everything is. It's her favorite question lately.)

"I kicked it."
(This comment marks the end of Livy being able to take showers with Daddy...)

"'Mon! 'Mon!"
(This is Livy's version of Come on! She has to hold our hand and yell this at us to get us to go where she wants.)

"Peace Out"

"I'm Done."

"Here you go."

"Hey!"
(She says this when anyone enters a room anywhere)

"I would be like BOOM."
(This was copying Matt when he was telling me how he'd shoot a serial killer)

"I want Daddy!"
(I get this every time I have to put her in time out - awesome)

"Ohhhhhhh!"
(Oh my gosh this one is SO cute! Every time I show her a pic of her friends or a cute animal she says Ohhhh! She is so girly.)

"Yuck!"
(She uses this when describing her poop or when she gets close to the garbage...)

"La, la, laaaaa"
(She loves to sing la, la, la. It's so funny. She gets it from her Little Einsteins Annie doll that she has.)

Here are some other random words/sounds:
Milk, juice, water, meow, neighhhhh, moon (she loves finding the moon in the sky), bats, car, baby, hello, Jesus, elbow, sorry, ouch, no no, blue, yellow pink, orange, black, the alphabet, two, three. There are tons more, I just can't remember.

Funny Little Behaviors:
Lately she's been taking her dolls and taking their diapers off and getting wipes and wiping them.

She's also been super cheesy with us - she'll give us a closed mouth smile, squint her eyes, and shake her head back and forth.

While we've been trying to get her to sleep in her new bed, she'll play a game where she'll get in bed, close her eyes, and while they're closed she'll say Night Night! Then we'll go check on her and she'll jump back to her place in bed and close her eyes and say Night Night. It's so cute that it's hard to stay mad at her!

She likes to talk to Max like I do - it's hard to explain but she'll do the cheesy goochy goochy goo kind of stuff to him. It's so funny. She gets super close to his face while she does it, too. Poor Max.

Lately I've been trying to get her songs on video - it's been quite difficult - but here's what I've been able to get.

This is Halloween, Everybody Scream!

The last couple weeks have been a complete whirlwind so I'm finally catching up on all of the madness - get ready for a post overload! Here's our Halloween - thank you Grandma B. for the cutest fairy costume EVER!

We started the evening out at Matt's brother's Trunk or Treat. I'd like to make up my own memories about what happened and say that Livy loved it - but she was a bit of a nightmare! As you can tell in the 4th pic - Aunt Amy was trying to have a frowning contest. That was basically Livy's face for the entire Trunk or Treat. She did, however, really enjoy going door for candy. We just pushed her around in her stroller - she was loving that part of the night. But doesn't she look so cute, at least? The make up had a life span of about an hour, but that was no surprise! She did enjoy the end result of a basket full of candy - as did Mommy and Daddy.

Hold on a sec, Cal has to make a quick call... Isn't his costume AWESOME? And of course, it was all his idea. All of the little teens at the church were in love with this idea and wondering why they didn't come up with it - well it's because they're not iphone/apple obsessed 3-year-olds. It's a very specific criteria.

Livy kept taking her sucker and putting it really close to poor little Max's face and then taking it away and sucking it. Can anyone else see the foreshadowing here??? I'm screwed.

My Little Princess!

Thanks to Grandma Sherrie, Andrea and I got to take the girls to Disney Princesses on Ice - it was so fun! Livy totally loved it!

She actually sat through the whole thing and would wave to the princesses as they passed by.

Our seats were AWESOME - we were within feet of the ice skaters.

Also, hats off to Disney - not only is this a genius way of making serious bucks (each little toy was like $20+), but they really do make it fun and entertaining to watch.

Bowling with my Homies

(The title was my own version of Rollin with my Homies. Who still loves catching Clueless on TBS or TNT every now and then!?! ...ME!!! Anyway...)

The day before Drewbee went home - we went and took him and his companion out to lunch and bowling. It was also Liv's first time bowling! It was so cute - and she scored better than me and barely used her bumpers... I'm over it! Here's some pics from Matt's phone that I was able to take.

Drewbee was in charge of holding Livy at all times and getting her in and out of her carseat. Surprisingly, he did better with the carseat than my mom...

Action Shot

Do you see how her ball is not even touching the bumpers!?! David Blaine, what the F?

Here's Livy after she threw her ball. It took at least 10 minutes to get down the lane - so she had plenty of time to turn around and sit down and see the end of her shot...

October Occurrences

Here are a bunch of random pics from last month that I want to have up here to remember.

Livy goes over to Luke and Andrea's whenever I have dr. appointments. She gets to have some special hang out time with just Cal. Apparently, Cal becomes the babysitter and leads Livy around and takes care of her. Cute little cousins. Also here's Livy sporting an awesome wig. This one's for you Grandma Jordan! And lastly, here's Livy and I chillin on the couch - she loves to cuddle with me whenever I'm laying down. I love it!

Here we are carving pumpkins for one of our family home evenings. The kids were obviously super excited. As was I. I love grabbing the guts out of those things - and just like the kids - I, too, got bored after about 5 minutes - the guts were endless! Also, we like our little monster dude - but after like an hour - it was definitely not worth it!

This was our second go at Apple Hill.Livy was so happy that Gabrielle was riding along with her in the stroller. Cal and Gabrielle got to take turns riding with her - apparently strollers are the new cool thing.

How cute is the first picture of all three kiddlies??? These guys are so fun to watch together. I'm so glad we live so close to them. Livy loves it! Also, Here we are on the hay ride! Woo! Also, in the 3rd picture - on the right - you can see the little girl who kept putting peanut butter in Cal's hair - it was HILARIOUS.

And here I am at 22 weeks. This baby is getting huge - FAST. He's super active - I love feeling him flip around in my tummy. It's not uncomfortable yet - although he does seem to think that my bladder is some sort of trampoline. Livy loves to pull up my shirt and kiss the bare belly. Matt can feel him now which is fun, too.

The second picture shows Livy's latest style. She LOVES these halloween socks that my sweet visiting teacher, Carolyn, brought her. But she can't just wear them alone. She has to wear her saltwaters with them - so funny! She wore this almost everyday for a week.

Little Brother! (Because you're younger, we're related, and you're a boy!)

(The title is a Phineas and Ferb reference. You need to start watching the cartoon show if you didn't recognize it. It's hilarious. Just trust me. Matt and I have started watching it during Liv's naptime - are we ashamed? Heavens no!)

Anyway, today is my little brother's 21st birthday! Woo! So we surprised him with a cake and balloons at my mother's request, but also because we wanted to...

I had it all pictured in my head: I wanted Drewbee to open the door to us holding a cake with lit candles and singing happy birthday. Well, Livy started running around and Drewbee answered the door early and ruined the presentation. So I yelled at him and made him close the door and re-open it and act surprised. Here he is blowing out the candles!

Here we are in his apt. with Elder Yang, his companion. We got a little tour around and then Livy spilled gogurt everywhere - thank you Livy. She also pretended to be scared to death of Drew the entire time. But then Elder Yang brought out his remote control car and she started to warm up to the elders.

We are family!

I'm a Homemaker!

I'm not sure about the whole "homemaking" term, I think it's kind of silly, but I made something for my home, so that, to me, makes me a homemaker today! I don't think you guys understand. I have NEVER finished a project in my ENTIRE LIFE. That is no exaggeration. Just ask Matt. I always get him to go along with my crafty ideas and he always tells me I'll never finish and then he finally gives in and then I... never finish, sometimes I never even start! But today is a new day! I finished something! Two things! It's a pretty amazing feeling. I mean, I actually purchased my first glue gun. It was crazy! (I think that's one of the steps to becoming a legit mommy.)

So yesterday I was blog stalking random people since I wasn't allowed to leave the house due to the crazy weather. Anywho, I ended up on the martha stewart website which is fantastic! So many cheap little ideas. So I went shopping once the weather calmed down and I came home and got to work after Livy fell asleep. Here's what I accomplished:

This was suppose to be a pumpkin wreath with just little pumpkins going all the way around but I found random things at the craft store and just went to town last night. I like it. It's funky looking, but I'm just happy to have finished something!

And here's our new little bat cave. Needless to say, Livy was ecstatic to wake up and find this on the wall. They were carefully placed just above her reaching level...

And here are some cute little randoms from the other day:

She loves hats lately. Also, the last pic is of her knocking on Drewbee's door. He wasn't home, but he is going to be home tomorrow when we take him his birthday cake! My little brother is turning 21 tomorrow - it's crazy! It's also crazy that I haven't seen him since he was 19. I'm so proud of him!

Our own little ShawnJohn

Here's Livy Lou on the day of her first gymnastics class. I need to invest in some cute little leotards for the girl. So we decided that since Livy's going to have zero height - she can become a little short gymnast! Just kidding, she just has so much energy, so we're attempting to help her burn some of that during the week and just MAYBE start to get a little focus. First, we tried a structured toddler class which didn't go too well. We were both almost to tears towards the end. So now we're doing an unstructured class which is SO MUCH BETTER. I follow her lead instead of her following a coach's lead. We'll probably stay in this class until she's two, just so the coolness of the gym can wear off. Her favorite things to do there are: push this little tire across the floor, walk across the beam over and over, hanging from the mini bar, and jumping on the trampoline and in the bounce house. Here's what she gets at the end of each lesson:

She LOVES it! I need to invest in some stamps for potty training!
