Potty Training: Day 1
Today we started the 3 day method. So we were following Livy around the entire day without giving her an ounce of alone time. It was an overall success. Our little one has been a bit defiant throughout the day, but we all made it out alive! And we are incredibly proud of our big girl! We kept telling her that throughout the day and she was like whatever mom and dad - leave me alone!!!
The day started out easy. First of all, she slept in later than she ever has before - as if to set a precedent that she wasn't happy about the big change coming her way... but we put her straight into her doggy underwear and for the first two hours she had no accident and she peed easily into the potty. It was great!
Then, the day got progressively worse, kind of. She now cries really hard every time she pees but then gets up and is really excited. (???) After she goes, her favorite thing to do is dump her potty in the toilet, flush, and do a potty dance - it's so funny. We also give her a little treat, but I really don't think she cares. She's such a weirdy sometimes.
We've had a few major breakthroughs. First, she has both peed and pooped on the potty - YAY! And she has learned how to hold it and not just go every time she feels like it. She also stayed dry through her 2 hour nap and woke up and peed on the potty. (Wish us luck for tonight - we're not doing diapers at all.)
So at the end of the day - we went through 10 pairs of underwear (10 less than I expected to go through), and she had gone in her potty at least 6 times including a big poop! And the 10 accidents weren't big ones - they were just a couple drips until we were able to rush her to the potty. Luckily, all of the accidents took place on the tile floor instead of the carpet! Overall, it was a very good first day!
We didn't take any pics from today because we were so busy following her every move, but here are some hilarious ones from photo booth...

Livy and Nana
While my mom was here, Matt and I got the luxury of going on a couple dates. It was awesome! While we were gone, Livy and my mom would have way too much fun playing with photo booth! And yes, it still creeps Matt and me out how much she looks like my mom... And yes, Livy still calls for my mom's help when we're putting her in time out - "Help me, Nana! Help!" For the love.

Lazy Livin'
So Matt's "Baby Bonding" time started and he now has the next 7 weeks off - paid! So we've been having fun relaxing together and bonding with our babies. It's awesome! Here's what we've spent time doing this last week:
This baby is already 3 weeks old! It's crazy! He's already getting huge. He loves sleeping on his tummy.
Somehow Matt got both kiddlies to look at the camera.
Livy has continued to "feed" random stuffed animals - but none of her babies. It's quite hilarious. And she doesn't do it to be funny. Matt and I will look over and all of a sudden she'll just be sitting there with her shirt up feeding Nemo and we'll ask her what she's doing and she'll say, "Nemo eating!"
Here's our cute little one after his bath. He loves to hold hands - whether they be his own or someone else's - it calms him down. He's also still going strong with the binky - it's awesome. I've never had a binky baby before!
Here's Livy checking out the ducks that chill on our front lawn. Unfortunately I thought it would be cute for Livy to feed them bread one time - ever since then, they've been sitting on our lawn waiting for more. Livy loves it. She screams DUCKS! every time we go outside.
Livy and Cos were playing in her room one night and they ran out with these little baby potato head glasses on thinking they were hilarious - and they were hilarious. These two are so funny!

The New Wiseman Family of Four
I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since little Adam joined our family. Things have been going great for us. Adam's really only been waking up once or twice at night. It's been awesome! He's been SO chill so far. He sleeps most of the day and night. Usually around 8ish - he has his alertness time of day - but he never really cries, he just looks around, trying to see things. We've definitely learned to appreciate this stage A LOT more this time around.
Livy has been so awesome with him. She loves to hold him and is always worried about what he's doing - especially when she goes down for her nap. When we've been putting her down lately - she'll ask us what Mommy, Daddy, and Adam are doing - to which I reply - everyone is taking a nap, too! She's then pleased with my answer and goes right down. It's so funny. So far, the hardest part for me has been not being able to spend one on one time with Livers. Hopefully, soon I'll get a handle on being able to divide my attention equally between these cute little ones.
Anyway, here are some cute pics that we've taken over the past couple weeks. Adam is already starting to look different - it's crazy.
Anyway, here are some cute pics that we've taken over the past couple weeks. Adam is already starting to look different - it's crazy.
Here are pics from his very first bath at home:
Okay I blurred out his little penis, but don't you love Matt's expression here? He's like - wait, what? I'm not use to this! We've also learned our lesson on moving too slowly during his diaper changes. We've been peed and pooped on about 10 times since he's gotten home. Thankfully, my friend introduced us to pee pee teepees! Thank you, Raquel!
I love this one because of Livy's "helping hand." She loves to be a part of all things dealing with Adam. I'm happy she's that way. We let her be as involved as possible so she doesn't focus on attention she might be losing.
He's just so cute!
Classic Livy Attitude Face
Here are some randoms:
And here we have the classic Matthew glare that both kids have inherited! He is constantly glaring at us! It's so funny. I'm going to be seeing this look from Matt and my babies for the rest of my life...
Here's Livy - again involved in everything. She especially loves to help out with diaper changes - mainly because she tries to sneak the Desitin away so she can hide it and then rub it all over herself when she's all alone.
Gabrielle holding cute little Adam.
She likes us to swaddle her babies just like we swaddle Adam. Also, it's been hilarious teaching her about breast feeding. She'll point to my chest and say milk and I'll say - yep - Adam's milk. And then she'll lift her shirt up and point and say milk! Then I had to explain that only mommies have milk, she still refuses to accept that. I'm just waiting to catch her trying to "feed" her babies...
Livy loved having Grandma "Shewwie" over. It was hilarious. She would only refer to her as Shewwie. She loved the constant attention.
Here are some randoms:
She loves holding her brother, "Ayam." We've been working on getting her to pronounce the D.
