Apple Hill Extravaganza

We ventured to Apple Hill today with our friends, the Ruggles. I think we caught Livy's attitude for the day perfectly. She was a bit of a pill! Anywho, it was chilly outside but it was way fun and VERY DELICIOUS! Our tasty treats included: an apple pie apple (SO GOOD), apple donuts, and the yummiest apple juice I've ever tasted in my life - it was so thick!

Liv totally loves her BFF, Cosette. They were so cute when they were driving up together. I swear they have their own little language. They were making the same sounds and then giggling at each other. It was so cute. Also, a man informed Matt that this pumpkin was 365 pounds, which brings this question to my head: how big are the seeds?? We attempted to get the men to sit back to back on the ginormous pumpkin with the girls... apparently they weren't down for that. Anyway, that was really the only part that Livy was happy about. She was mad the entire time because I wouldn't let her jump into the little lake there. Go figure... 18 month olds are awesome.

20 Weeks and 18 months old! Holy Crap.

Today was a big day. I reached the 20 week mark - oo ooooo! And our little Livy Lou turned 18 months old - officially! We celebrated the 20 weeks with an ultrasound (which verified yet again that he does in fact have a penis). I decided I'm finally okay with documenting week to week. So here I am in all of my pregnancy glory...
I also celebrated it by buying his first little boy outfit! I couldn't resist. Not only did the shirt speak the truth, we all know he will look JUST LIKE his daddy, but also because it was $1! Come on! One buck! I love it!
Livy's day however, did not go so well. We celebrated by getting a flu shot. It was sad. She only cried for like 10 seconds but I still felt bad for her. On the way home, I let her play with my lip gloss because I felt so bad. Here's what she looked like when we finally arrived home:Matt says she looked like the Joker. She does look kind of creepy...

Cute Little Bugger

Our baby is almost 18 months! It's insane! She's getting so big and talking so much. And she's so funny all of the time! We love the constant entertainment. Lately, she loves: walks outside, getting as dirty as possible, drawing on everything, saying the number two, pointing out Jesus in any picture of him that she can find, holding her baby, giving us cheesy smiles while tilting her head from side to side, saying Amen really loud at the end of prayers, reading books, kissing my belly, mimicking everything we do and say, and chatting with us non-stop.

When Santa/Grandma Comes to Town...

A week ago, my mom came to visit us for the weekend as mentioned in the Wicked post. It was awesome. Since she doesn't get to see Livy very often (in person) she wants to spend as much time with her as possible. What does this mean for Matt and me? We get three days of sleeping in, no changing diapers, no dealing with tantrums, and the list goes on! It's awesome! We are big fans of Grandma coming to town. And Livy LOVES the constant attention.
Anywho, every time Grandma B. leaves, this is usually what's left behind:

A ridiculous amount of new toys... (She came this weekend to buy Livy's big Christmas presents that we wouldn't be able to get home from CO. And we weren't suppose to open them, but we couldn't help ourselves. We were more excited than Livy. Now we have no idea where all of this is going.)

A 50% increase to Livy's wardrobe:

New freakin' cute shoes:

And for us, groceries! Woo! We've never had so many boxes of snacks! Thanks, mom! Please move closer so Matt and I can have more date nights!

WICKED!!

So, Alexis' mom bought us tickets to Wicked and flew out to watch Livy so we could go to San Francisco and watch it. How sweet is that? So away we went to San Fran. We got there and parked and walked around to find something to eat. We found Chevy's.

Look how much fun we are having.

Not sure why this picture was taken, but I sure do love that salsa. Turned out our waiter was a real piece of work and I kind of wanted to punch him in the mouth. We didn't order any drinks and he pretty much ignored us the rest of the time. It took like 45 minutes for our food to get to us and all these people that got there after us got their food way before us. He also never filled our water and kind of talked to us like we were idiots. He then had the nerve to tip himself 20% on our bill but he didn't list it anywhere hoping that maybe we would tip him more. I wanted to write -$2 on the tip line but I wasn't sure if that would fly. We then had about 3 minutes to eat our food before we had to run back to the theater. Good times.

Here we are after the play. We had some little Russian girl take the picture so that we would have proof that we were there. The play was awesome of course and we had a really fun time. It has been a while since we did anything without Livy, and it was really nice to get away for a little while. Thanks Nancy!

More proof. Good times. First post without Livy ever. The end.

Livy at the Movies! S-U-C-C-E-S-S!

We took Livy to see Up yesterday at the dollar theater next to us and she did SO AWESOME! I've taken her to a movie once before and she had to get up once, but this time she sat with me or Matt through the whole thing. Besides a little musical chairs action, it was totally great.

Also, I freaking love this movie! This is the second time I've seen it and I'll go as far as saying that it's Pixar's best one yet. Matt claims Cars is close, but this movie is so hilarious and touching and you'll seriously cry after the first 15 minutes! I love it! Also, it's funny to see what Livy will laugh at. She didn't laugh at the actual funny parts. She would start laughing really loud when like the dog got hurt or something bad happened... Does this mean she's a psychopath?

Livy Loves to Copy Cat

This kid just makes me happy. She loves to copy me lately. And apparently I do this a lot when I'm sitting in front of the computer because she's been pointing it out every single time. This kid is getting funnier and funnier. I can't wait to see what happens when she meets her little brother!

Movie Time

The other day I was trying to get all of Livy's latest "tricks" on video. It took like 4 different videos but I got clips from each to show how silly and smart this kid is. We have this word book that she loves to read every night. She's finally able to make the words sound sort of like what they actually are. She use to say "daboh" every time we asked her to say something. So we've come quite a long way! ha! Once she finally grasps the English language, I don't think this kid will ever stop talking! Also, Matt and I are finally to the point where we have to watch what we say! I was watching a tennis match and I yelled "Come on!" And now every time Livy sees tennis on T.V. she runs up to the screen and says "Come on!" It's so funny!

Livy Lately

Honestly, I wasn't even mad when I found her like this -- just proud that she's taking after her Mommy. I, too, prefer to eat chocolate milk, rather than drink it.
The other day I came home one morning and I found this little set up. Livy LOVED it, but I think Matt may have loved his creation even more.
Don't mess with her when she's cleaning. Doesn't it look like she's on a little mission??
Loving T.V. together
